Did I just hear the 'F' word in 'Neighbours', or was I imagining it?

I thought he just said "Paul f**ing Robinson"!

Uh huh, yeah, I heard that too.

Aero · 20/03/2007 13:55

I think we all heard it then! OMG - glad ds2 was upstairs!

It really sounded worse than that Sobernow, but will watch again later to prove my ears wrong!

Right there with you. Could have sworn (!) he said f**k.

coppertop · 20/03/2007 20:17

Agree with Sobernow. The subtitles said "freaking" too.

TwoIfBySea · 20/03/2007 20:26

Haha! I am positive it was f*cking as when I heard it I rewound the sky+ and dts2 turned to me and said, wide-eyed "That man on Neighbours is saying sweary words!"

I certainly didn't hear an r in there. Wonder how many complaints they will get from "Concerned of Tunbridge Wells."

Aero · 20/03/2007 20:34

So, what was the verdict then - I missed the afternoon one? I'm sure it wasn't scripted as it sounded, but it really didn't sound like 'freakin' to me earlier today - the difference is usually clear.

I've just seen a debate about it on another forum. There's a link to the actual clip here but the general verdict seems to be that Fraser said "fricking".

totaleclipse · 20/03/2007 22:36

if you imagine he is saying fucking then thats what you hear, if you imagine he is saying freaking then thats what you hear too.

Tinker · 20/03/2007 22:42

Ooo, edgy stuff. Sounded like "fruckin'"

hunkermunker · 20/03/2007 22:45

It's frickin', I think.

Fuck and its derivatives are not allowed before the watershed.

Nor is cunt.

However, anything else is allowed.

totaleclipse · 20/03/2007 22:46

What about wanker

hunkermunker · 20/03/2007 23:02

I believe that's fine.

Aero · 20/03/2007 23:14

Having watched the linked clip again, it's definitely 'frickin' there. At lunchtime, though, I had it on while doing something else, and it caught my attention as it sounded so wrong for daytime TV! Glad it was my ears deceiving me earlier.
