Little girl and the AA advert.

Does anyone else love this clever advert. A lovely curly haired little girl is in the back of her dad's car. The music is Rolling on the River. They have synchronised her smiling actions with the music. It is perfect and my favourite advert for a long time.

This advert absolutely makes me feel warm and happy, no matter what I am doing I have to join in and sing and smile. She should be on television a lot more. She is gorgeous and makes me feel good.

Costacoffeeplease · 28/07/2017 21:06

Another 'can't bear it here' too twee and try-hard

RyanStartedTheFire · 28/07/2017 21:10

The animation is horrible on the AA advert. It really grinds me.

The Pampers advert reminds me of the baby we didn't get to bring home. It makes me tear up every time it comes on.

AnneLovesGilbert · 28/07/2017 21:16

ryan Flowers I'm so sorry.

I like the AA one too but agree the mouth is freaky.

Amazon are on a roll aren't they? The lion dog, but also the pony door, the pirate cat suit and the lovely one with the priest and imam and their knee pads. Always made me tear up.

BelligerentGardenPixies · 28/07/2017 21:21

Urgh no! I hate the weird CGI mouth thing.

One of many ads I have to turn off cos they are weird/creepy/boring/annoying can't sell me anything, cos I'm an old crotchety hag.

LyraTheDaemon · 28/07/2017 23:20

Nope. That advert gives me the creeps with her mouth.

The Morrisons coming home one with her grandson in army uniform, on the other hand, made me tear up.

ChasingHighs · 28/07/2017 23:22

I hate that advert. It's creepy and it doesn't even look like she's singing the song.

zukiecat · 28/07/2017 23:28

Just had to look up the ad on YouTube

I love the song Proud Mary, but not the travesty that is Tina Turner murdering it

I like Proud Mary sung like it should be sung by Credence Clearwater Revival

So I hate this ad, as I just cannot bear to hear one of my favourite songs being murdered!

Rockhopper81 · 28/07/2017 23:32

I don't dislike the advert per se - it makes me sing the song though - but nobody pulls over the instant the engine light comes on, and the chances of the AA being able to fix it roadside is minimal.

The Amazon one with the lion-dog - the dog looks thoroughly miserable at the beginning and doesn't look much better at the end, where he looks slightly like he might be wondering why he's subjected to wearing a mane. The idea isn't terrible though.

The advert that gets on my nerves the most at the moment is one for a car warehouse place - it has no sound at all. I admit the advertising brilliance of making you look up and see if the TV has taken a vow of silence, but it gets on my tits because I look every single time! Angry

I did love the giraffe-amingo ad though - tickles me some reason. Think it was the strutting that did it. Smile

Does anyone know why they have taken the singers voice off the pampers add? It has someone humming along to the tune now.

MrsFurphy · 29/07/2017 07:41

There was a complaint from a grieving mum, Izzabella, here in NI. She found it too distressing so they edited it. I assume the removal of the lyrics was part of this.

PopcornNRedwine · 29/07/2017 07:49

I hate it. They have computer generated her lips to move with the song and it gives me the creeps

FairNotFair · 29/07/2017 09:51

I find this advert oddly cheering, although I'm always slightly sidetracked by wondering if they're on the A22 Blush.

The Amazon lion-dog pisses me off.

ssd · 29/07/2017 09:53

I find this advert uncomfortable

flapjackfairy · 29/07/2017 09:55

Oh i absolutely hate it !

Blackandpurple · 04/08/2017 08:54

She annoys the hell out if me.

Littlewhistle · 05/08/2017 17:13

I think the little girl is cute. Never seen that Pampers advert but I think different TV regions get different adverts so it maybe isn't shown here.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 05/08/2017 17:15

I detest this advert with a passion! It's so badly done.

I find it creepy. I also dislike that Audrey Hepburn Galaxy one for the same reason.

The Pampers ad makes me deeply sad for the families of babies who did not come home. I don't like it for that reason. I can't imagine the misery it must invoke.

Ceva80 · 12/08/2017 08:24

The little girl is my builders daughter :-). Super cute.

Furcat85 · 12/08/2017 08:43

I just don't understand why they couldn't have found a cute child capable of miming along - why did they have to use the creepy CGI?

Catrina1234 · 12/08/2017 16:50

I find this ad really irritating but then I do think the same about most ads. The little girl looks like she's from the 1950's - there used to be a home perm for kids called Toddilox and the child looks like she's just had one. It's freaky
