And can't wait for The handmaid's tale on Sunday having loved the book.

You all needed to know that obviously.

I think with Jamestown it's because that period of history isn't often covered, and I'm a history geek.

Right I'll shut up now.

But anyone else loving Jamestown?

I can't stand Mercy (that's the idiotic servant girl, right?) I know she serves a purpose for the storyline but her deftness totally annoys me!

If you like period history stuff, I heartily recommend The Last Kingdom. Another show by the same team who did Jamestown but, imo, a thousand times better. The first ep is the weakest, perhaps, as it "sets the scene" but the story is fabulous. Good characters, both male and female, and based on real British history.

S1 on Netflix, S2 will hopefully get to Netflix later this year.

All those married women walking about with long swishy hair! And stays as outer garments. It's like walking down the high street in your bra and knickers now, completely improper and not done, especially in a place that supposedly has rules and standards. It's a good watch but not too authentic I don't suppose.
