Anyone watching possibly the shallowest woman in the world on Shop Well For Less?

Too much sneering on this thread now.

LordPercy · 17/03/2017 20:24

DH and I were shouting at the telly too! The price of her DD's clothes wtf. Delighted I can still buy my teens Asda jeans at £10 a throw. That woman, like a pp said, is the type of person I have nothing in common with.

Lillycat100 · 17/03/2017 20:37

I think she was a wannabe Katie Price with her appearance and lifestyle but didn't quite clock/care she didn't have the bank balance to match

wobblywonderwoman · 17/03/2017 20:45

I thought the shoe was awful. £200 on a night out - surely better invested in their future or paying mortgage early or whatever. £500 on valeting their car. All that type of false lifestyle - just awful.

My sil is a brand junkie and is so rude about other people and their clothes. Her husband is a plumber and she has no qualifications worth talking about. Yet she keeps harping on about her 'profession'

Ughhh.. I avoid them like the plague

wobblywonderwoman · 17/03/2017 20:46

By the way my father is a tradesman so I have the upmost respect for tradesmen - I mean the bragging about a normal job.

Allofaflumble · 18/03/2017 12:45

I can only dream of having a car like the one she said was disgusting!

The80sweregreat · 18/03/2017 13:03

I understand some other shows where they try to help people save some money and so on, but this couple were obviously wealthy enough to afford all the things they wanted to buy - its not always good to 'go cheap' all the time, there is also a saying ' buy cheap, buy twice' so maybe his jeans and boots may last him 5 or 6 years, where as the cheaper makes might only last a year. A bit of a mix might be worth doing, buying such expensive clothes for a child isnt worth it, but for an adult it might actually save money. Also, testing out the hairdryers was an eye opener, although i would never pay 300 for a dyson one, it did come out top with the stylists, so it is an investment if your a hair dresser and will last you forever. The woman was a bit me, me , me but I also think that if they want to spend loads ( and can afford it all) then just let them and dont start preaching to us all that what they think we should be doing!

TinfoilHattie · 19/03/2017 16:27

Yes but they wouldn't be on the show if their spending wasn't an issue - it clearly was to them which is why they asked for help in cutting back.

I think it's repeated in a minute. Shall I watch it to wind myself up Grin?

summerholsdreamin · 19/03/2017 16:34

"Can't be photographed for social media wearing the same outfit twice"

WTF???

megletthesecond · 19/03/2017 16:47

always I thought I'd misheard when they said two gym memberships. Crazy.

My car is only worth around £500. The spend that on valeting alone.

megletthesecond · 19/03/2017 17:01

£12 on trainers is a silly idea though. Those cheap ones don't have support or decent grip. She'll be spending the money saved on physio when her knees or back start to suffer.

Allofaflumble · 23/03/2017 21:00

Really nice couple tonight. The Mum was aware of her failings and honest about wanting to change. Enjoyed that one. Has Stephen got new gnashers?

Allofaflumble · 23/03/2017 21:01

Steph!!

JustDanceAddict · 24/03/2017 07:46

Last nights was good. I prefer the food one, but at least they have the family some good ideas re the toy swap etc. And how can she have not thought of using the library? I was always there with the kids and I use it myself too. Agree they were a nice family!

Lostwithinthehills · 24/03/2017 07:58

They really were a nice family, they were open minded and seemed to take all the advice on board. I am sure they will make all the changes recommended to them. The thing that stood out to me was how relaxed they were about being heavily in debt, I can't imagine not worrying about the debt constantly. I guess that's how the debt built up. I really hope they do well.

buggerthebotox · 24/03/2017 14:40

Did anyone notice what type of car the guy had?

WankersHacksandThieves · 24/03/2017 16:03

The one in the garage? Looked like a Nissan badge?

summerholsdreamin · 31/03/2017 17:53

Did I miss it last night?

Cagliostro · 31/03/2017 18:05

I still have to watch the latest episode. I always watch like this 😲
