It has been reported in a newspaper (OK it was the Sun...so shoot me!!) that Goran Visnjic has quit ER.
Yep, that's right, no more Luka after this series.
So what are you going to do?

Every time he and neela... you know ... i want to shout NO neela NOOOOOOO

LazyLine · 02/03/2007 20:28

I am also over Luka. I have loved him for a long time, but now that he has a family again, there is nowhere for his character to go. I feel that he has gone full circle.

I love Pratt and some of the others, but fear that Gates will stay and become a major character. I worry that there are no leads to take the torch from Luka yet. With the loss of Weaver......I dunno.

I have watched ER since the start but it's flagging. I wish Romano wasn't dead.

tassis · 02/03/2007 20:29

I've missed the last 3 or 4 episodes which is pretty tragic as ER is the only thing I really watch on TV

I need an update please...

kimi · 02/03/2007 20:30

I loved Romano, and I miss corday

LazyLine · 02/03/2007 20:52

The thing that I've always liked about ER is it's ensemble-ness and the fact that it has always been bigger than any one actor. There have been a few that I have missed due to the actors brilliance Romano as mentioned, Hathaway, if Neela were to go I would miss her but as a whole, the show goes on.

Where I feel they have failed is by bringing in too many lacking characters and annoying actors, Stamos, Leguizamo.

Majorca, she leaves in the episode "A House Divided" this season. I can see it, with her character the way she's been going. She's been through a lot and the way that she is as a doctor means that she can't stay forever. But she will be a loss, it's easy to underestimate how she binds everyone together.

I too hope Luka gets a happy ending. I would NOT be sad to see the back of Abby, but a Luka/Abby wedding would sweeten the Luka leaving deal for me.

It was thrown about that he would leave a while ago, but they persuaded him to stay as Carter was leaving at the same time and it would have been to much to lose them both.

sfxmum · 02/03/2007 21:55

oh i thought he was leaving via the big tragedy which is already building up

There was that happy ending when annoying Jeannie left to adopt that baby.

ipanemagirl · 03/03/2007 11:39

am fascinated that there are fans of Romano?! no Disrespect to you but am I right in thinking he was the Bald surgeon who secretly loved the English female surgeon and who died in some hideous Helicopter Incident on the hospital roof???
I can never remember their names.
I'm so bored with Abby, that alcoholism story line went on beyond my tedium threshold. I don't watch anymore - not connected for a long time - I lost it in Africa with Carter leaving.
But i hated his Womance with the English Actress. They're better when they keep it close to home.

My sister says Luca is killed by the bloke who was trying to sue him

LazyLine · 03/03/2007 13:18

The thing with Susan was that she disappeared and no-one mentioned it! I remember that the actress who plays her pissed off the writers because she kept wanting to come and go from the show so they didn't give her a proper goodbye. And who names their child Cosmo?

Maybe Luka will die. Curtis Ames to kill him? It's been a while since a staff death, and a while since a good one (Lucy Knight for me).

I LOVED Romano! He was mean and sarcastic and rude and brilliant! The new bald surgeon has nothing on him.

Fonk · 03/03/2007 13:44

sodding NOT happy about weaver going

she is far and away my favourite chracter

then abby

those ugly men (where do they FIND) them are way behind

DarrellRivers · 03/03/2007 13:46

yes , did enjoy scary/odd surgeon looking admiringly at Jane

LazyLine · 03/03/2007 14:06

Agree with you, Majorca about it being too soon to see his human side. It was ages before we saw that in Romano (remember him bringing his dog into surgery?)...

DarrellRivers · 03/03/2007 14:13

I thought Romano's exit was inspired, didn't he lose his arm first by a helicopter and then it returned to finish him off , like CArrie

PersonalClown · 03/03/2007 14:15

I LOVED Romano's exit. I ROFL'd all the way through it. Didn't someone say at his memorial that he'd pissed off a helicopter in a previous life?

I was a bit embaressed to say I also laughed during it as well, thought it was v humerous

grouchyoscar · 03/03/2007 14:34

My mate from Chicago reckons that ER gets through so many cast members as they are exhausted cos the hospital is MASSIVE. He said the stations they get off at to get to the hospital site are miles apart and it's a good laugh to try it.

Strange that boy!

Marscentio · 03/03/2007 14:39

I'm so glad that someone mentioned Benton. How could you all forget about him? [sob] Gorgeous man that he was. The saddest thing about him leaving was that he left because (allegedly) he didn't get on with the actor who played Mark Greene who went on to die [sob] anyway! Sheesh!
