Who's watching it tonight? I adored the last series, it was so incredibly well written. What are people's predictions of what will happen to them? Who will Adam end up with? Will Hannah become an actual writer or will Marnie become an actual singer?

I thought that!

Figgygal · 04/04/2017 14:09

Aw that diner scene!! It all just crashed so quickly they both work so well together.

So looks like Rays story now has ended bless him

Gallavich · 04/04/2017 14:24

Real character growth for Hannah in realising the mistake she was making

MrsJamin · 04/04/2017 15:34

I think that's the last we'll see of Ray. I read something on the girls blog by him and he said the scene on the carousel was the last thing he filmed for girls. They may well have filmed the last few episodes in a different order though, so I could be wrong.

Brilliant episode. The scene at the cafe was so nicely done. Perfect.

RozTheSchnoz · 04/04/2017 19:58

I am loving this final season. Last night's episode was beautiful - smiling with them as they came back together then almost crying when they realise (the moment you'd been waiting for too) that it's not meant be. What clever writing from Lena Dunham.

MsGameandWatch · 04/04/2017 21:22

I'm hoping Paul-Louis might step up. No fairy tale ending but some involvement.

MrsJamin · 04/04/2017 21:36

No i think Hannah's got this, with a little help from elijah and perhaps dill?

Cherrypi · 04/04/2017 22:06

Great acting in that diner scene too. Just perfect.

Middleoftheroad · 05/04/2017 17:24

This season is back on form
The diner scene choked me
The bar bathroom scene choked me
Don't want to see Hannah with Paul-Louis (Even Elijah pointed out his silly name)

Some of the funniest and heartbreaking TV

JaniceBattersby · 05/04/2017 21:39

Just watched this week's. God, the diner scene. So wonderful and so reminiscent of my late teens and early 20s where I knew I was with unsuitable men but didn't really know how to break up with them properly so we'd just unhappily rebound back together.

The Jessa stuff was done wonderfully though. It captured that utter desperation for someone to be close to after you've been binned off. That feeling that you're inside a pinball machine. Fab.

RozTheSchnoz · 11/04/2017 06:56

Anyone else watch last night's? Was convinced it felt like the finale but think SKY said at the end that the finale is next week?

HalfShellHero · 11/04/2017 07:03

Yeah the finale is next week..

Figgygal · 11/04/2017 09:40

Agreed this weeks felt very finale
Wonder what will happen next week

Gallavich · 11/04/2017 10:48

Awwww I was so proud of Hannah last night! And so pleased she and Jessa made a breakthrough. Marnie is still a bitch but why was Shosh so nasty?

Ledehe · 11/04/2017 15:05

I thought it was brilliant writing again. A group of women in their 20s may not still be friends when they get to their 30s...and Shosh had the right reaction. I wouldn't be friends with any of them either, too much hard work

Daisydots · 11/04/2017 15:39

Do you think next week will be some sort of 'future' episode? I don't think there's much more to do with the current timeline

I'm actually disappointed this wasn't the finale, no cliffhangers and it would have been perfect

HonorBright · 11/04/2017 15:57

I think the purpose of this week's episode was to demonstrate that it's OK for Hannah to move on, because the ties that bound her to NY have broken. I'm hoping that next week will focus on Hannah's future.

NecklessMumster · 11/04/2017 17:00

Oh, I loved that, loved seeing them altogether, well-written, going to miss this

Cherrypi · 11/04/2017 20:21

Yes I agree that this episode felt like the finale. The boys bowed out beautifully last week. The girls this week. Maybe it's Hannah and her mum next week?

Middleoftheroad · 12/04/2017 08:38

Agree that it felt like the finale. Sad that the friendships have moved on, but such is life. Marnie and Shosh left me cold (and I always liked Shosh) but Hannah and Jess I could watch for hrs.

I think next week we will see Hannah becoming a mother. I was going to say that they won't miss an opportunity to show H giving birth, but they did all that with Adam's sister.

Yes, think it will be Hannah and her mom and Paul-Louis jr.

EachandEveryone · 13/04/2017 01:29

I love Adams sister shes the same in whater show shes in.

I wanted it to be the end. I loved it and i agree about Shosh. She was right but fancy not inviting her. Ive had abit of that this week with the younger crowd from work all clearly doing something tomorrow night and all finding a million excuses why they cant meet me just so im not there! Ive put it down to my age but its a horrible feeling. I dont get why they ignored her like that.

Does anyone know where upstate was? Looked lovely.

HonorBright · 13/04/2017 08:36

I think the college might have been meant to be Sarah Lawrence, or perhaps Vassar.

RozTheSchnoz · 13/04/2017 22:48

I really enjoyed this article on the end of Girls www.google.co.uk/amp/www.newstatesman.com/culture/tv-radio/2017/04/girls-hbo-hannah-adam-jessa-endgame-finale%3Famp
