It is my Sunday night mindless happy nostalgia fest....but where has it gone?

Was it not just a one off?

motherinferior · 18/02/2007 19:52

I'm a Waking the Dead fan, sorry.

Aloha · 18/02/2007 19:53

No, not a one off, they had a trailer at the end of the last one. I also have a longstanding love affair with Michael Kitchen to attend to, you know.

I imagine it is on again next week. This week it is an episode of Lewis. Maybe they are laternating the two?

Aloha, you and me both. I adore MK.

DumbledoresGirl · 18/02/2007 19:58

alternating

Marina · 18/02/2007 19:59

We have Kevin-dead-from-the-neck-up-Whateley for the next few weeks for some reason.

I am hacked off too aloha. When not eyeing Michael Kitchen with pleasure, I am a big platonic fan of the magnificent Honeyseuckle Weeks. That walk! That accent! And plenty of Hastings Old Town and Rye too.

DumbledoresGirl · 18/02/2007 20:01

Oh no - Lewis for the next few weeks? Why on earth do that? ie start Foyle's War for one week and then show Lewis for several weeks before going back to FW? Why not show one in its entirety and then the other?

SNOWBall4girlz · 18/02/2007 20:03

it is abolutely not fair foyles war before Lewis anyday boo hoo

That is so annoying. It's not like Lewis is a proper programme anyway, it's sloppy seconds!
And Kev is no match for my Michael. Or even the retro-charm of Hastings.
Anyone know why this appalling travesty has been allowed to occur?

Michael has the most wonderful voice. Swoon!

Hmmm I don't know who had the better deal there. What a couple they must have made.

Marina · 18/02/2007 20:06

Surely his gorgeous curly head only came up to her scraggy patrician bosom? hussy.

dh is so upset re no Foyle's War that he has made me find a fans' website - which has, as answer to one of its FAQs, that the only other episode in this series, Casualties of War, is eagerly awaited but has as yet no transmission date set.

Another FAQ is an address to write to if you are outraged that there are only two episodes in this series.

tissy · 18/02/2007 20:21

Another MK fan checking in!

Marina · 18/02/2007 20:21

Aloha, I stuck the info on the thread in question
Only two? I thought there were at least three?
Hands up who else is prepared to sit in the vat of sludge which is Enchanted April, purely because Michael is the romantic lead at last?

scampadoodle · 19/02/2007 20:12

My mother was had a dream that I was married to MK. He's now referred to as 'my husband'.
I too think it's odd that they're jumping about a bit - daft scheduling. They probably only made 2 'cause it's expensive, being perod drama. ITV are such cheapskates! (Though they'll spend gazillions on special effects in Primeval).
