Omgblog is where you'll find the Joel clips.

DO NOT USE YOUR WORK INTERNET

caught up on 3 episodes tonight as I've been away, glad they've started arguing...they were getting on far too well Grin

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 21/11/2016 01:52

I missed tonight's but tbh was shocked Martin was voted to do that trial. Everyone gets edited but you cannot edit in something that didn't happen...and Danny when they won was Goady Gloaty Fucker Central. He got called on it. The others probably did feel hacked off but know how it's edited, didn't want to be seen as bad losers and didn't want a remotely negative edit.
Scarlet knew damned well it would be on camera that she had also been pissed off so you got denials, waterworks and sitting on Larry's knee (it was creepy and just as creepy when Joel did it). Then it was all Pile On Top with Danny's shit stirring even in the spa and not channelling Elsa. Don't even get me started on Adam.

In summary Wink

Adam's a dick. Danny's a dick.
Scarlet's a player. Joel's a player.
Martin's not my cup of Brew but that's what happens when you join late: not sure anyone who has ever been a late arrival has ever won.

I like Lisa. She won't win. Nor will Ola (though her husband will have told her exactly how to play the game).
Wayne is a bit beige. Larry will probably continue to do well.

So sod it, Wayne can win, he's the least annoying.
Now watch Scarlet win it, Larry 2nd, Joel 3rd, Carol 4th.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 21/11/2016 07:09

Kimmy Vicky Pattison won last year and she was a late arrival.

MargotLovedTom · 21/11/2016 07:23

I know Wayne's not the most dynamic of men but he was very nice to Martin last night so he's gone up in my estimation. Martin is a Pollock though, but he will make it entertaining.

Ola looks totally washed out, but I guess we're used to seeing her plastered in fake tan and make up.

MargotLovedTom · 21/11/2016 07:23

Pillock, not Pollock!

Musiclife · 21/11/2016 07:32

Yes I thought that re Danny Baker and his best buddy Chris Evans.

Don't like Danny at all, he is full of himself. The dynamic was sure to change as soon as he turned up.

Bakingnovice · 21/11/2016 08:12

Not liking scarlett at all. Almost feels like we are watching the scarlett show sometimes. But they obviously are setting her up for the win. Think Lisa or carol should win but they won't. Ola looks a state.

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 21/11/2016 08:16

Enrique Blush that's one theory scuppered Grin

I know Danny used to be an okay DJ, decent scriptwriter and I genuinely felt for him when he had cancer, esp as it was his throat so career in jeopardy. But do not recognise him right now. Either he's been bunged extra to shake bit up a bit, has cast himself as an arrogant baddie to get voted out first and get a decent holiday out of it or really is like that Confused
Even Chris Evans has learnt a bit about humility in the last decade (actually respected him for helping Danny's out £ when he got sick with an interest free loan and Danny for thanking him publically. Kudos.) Maybe there's a long game I'm not seeing.

Roussette · 21/11/2016 08:29

I think Martin's a pollock too! (Pollick is a fish, and Martin is a damp squib, so very apt!)

He is actually soooo irritating, I've worked with people like him, always making a drama out of anything. However, I do think he's been picked on a bit too much and what gives Danny the right to do that... who does he think he is... Camp Policeman?! Just imagining him and Chris Evans together - my idea of hell

Bottom line, I can't stand Danny more than I can Martin who is just plain irritating.

Also Scarlett is irritating too, I'm sure it's editing but she always manages to be in the thick of it. I love Lisa and wish she would get more airtime.

Pagwatch · 21/11/2016 08:55

I don'5 think Danny has been asked to be a mouthy arrogant know it all.
That is exactly the persona he has developed over the last few years on the radio.

I used to really enjoy listening to him and he's genuinely intelligent and amusing. But over the last year or so he has become impossible to listen to. It's like being stuck at a party with your boorish uncle who thinks he's hilarious and demands, always, to be the centre of attention.

Happylandpirate · 21/11/2016 08:56

Really gone of Scarlett after last night.. I noticed at the end when Martin was upset, Scarlett said "but Danny was only speaking on my behalf"... well the night before she told Martin that she doesn't need anyone to speak on her behalf after Martin had a go at Danny for gloating!! I didn't like everyone picking on Martin over the water there's two people on water duty and I didn't hear anyone shouting at Adam. Martin is a bit wet behind the ears and sensitive, possibly annoying, but I think they are starting to pick on him a little bit and disguising it as "banter"!!!

ohdearme1958 · 21/11/2016 08:59

I didn't find Scarlett sitting on Kerry's knee creepy. He's a dad. She's young and probably missing her parents. I thought he was being kindly.

Roussette · 21/11/2016 09:06

Scarlett is 26 years old, she's hardly a teenager, she's an adult !

(Have a DD similar age and whilst she might miss us, she is independent and wouldn't have to sit on someone's knee because Mum wasn't there!)

I am finding her a bit irritating and am beginning to think she is playing people like a fiddle.

heartskey · 21/11/2016 09:08

I don't like Scarlett either, all that little girl act when there was that argument discussion "I don't like arguments, I'd normally ring my mum" was pathetic and when she sat on Larrys knee like she was a little girl needing comforting was just weird, and made to put Martin in a bad light. I've never known a grown woman do that.

Roussette · 21/11/2016 09:15

What about Jordan? He's only 23, he's 4 years younger than Scarlett, is he bleating on about ringing his Mum?

Or Adam and Sam, they're the same age as Scarlett but at least they're acting like adults and not pulling the little girl/boy lost can't cope card!

Inkanta · 21/11/2016 10:11

Martin is the tricky one in this equation - because he draws attention to himself in any way he can - even negative ways. People are human and get irritated with this. I thought Danny was just being quite plain speaking and assertive really. Scarlet's method of delegation didn't work. Danny stepped in. If Martin got upset - maybe he needed to get upset - but it doesn't make it anyone else's responsibilty.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 21/11/2016 10:12

Kimmy that's one theory scuppered It's usually a valid one though I think Grin

Talking of Pollock, you soon find out who has 'Big Fish Syndrome' and see the posturing for Alpha Male, trouble is the real Alpha Males don't need the posturing. The women seem to be getting along really well together at the moment.

No doubting that the viewers are manipulated by the editing, but you can't help but notice those who quietly and efficiently go about their chores and those who make a song and dance. Martin and is it Adam? I forget who he's partnered up with, had allowed the clean water to run out and Lisa has said that they're all trying to drink lots of water to stave off hunger. Not very smart in any case to let the water run so low.

Babbas · 21/11/2016 10:24

Something about scarlett is very off putting. She's obviously done her homework before doing the show. Don't forget she has been trying to get into reality TV for 7-8 years. Really like her on Google box but she's awful in this. Needy, sycophantic, two faced, attention seeking. And clearly set up as the winner given how much air time she gets. She's the main narrator if the show and involves herself in everything. I would like to see more of Lisa carol and Larry.

MargotLovedTom · 21/11/2016 10:40

I was Shock when I learned Scarlett is 26: I thought she was about 18. Everyone babies her. Tbh, I don't think she was all that bothered about sitting on Larry's knee but he kept saying "C'mere," and pulled her on for a cuddle. I'm not implying that Larry is sleazy in any way, just that the camp members seem to treat her like a little girl.

Inkanta · 21/11/2016 11:20

'She's the main narrator if the show and involves herself in everything. I would like to see more of Lisa carol and Larry.'

Yes - I have wondered how she gets to narrate after almost every activity. They keep cutting to her comments. She talks well I'll give her that. I wonder if she is approached by the producers to take on this role or does she choose to constantly go up there to say her bit.

DispatchReady · 21/11/2016 13:43

Happylandpirate that's exactly what I was going to say! Smile

Roussette · 21/11/2016 13:55

You see.... I don't like her on gogglebox ... I find her comments totally inane. I just wish the cameras would focus on someone else for a change, there's some lovely people in there.

heartskey · 21/11/2016 14:16

When Danny called her as smart as a whip I thought, what the girl who just fell apart crying because of a little argument and sat on Larrys knee to be comforted. yeah right. Confused

deloresclaiborne · 21/11/2016 14:49

bloody hell scarletts 26 i thought she was about 18 as well, i still like her though maybe she ought to start acting abit more grown. a grown woman acting child like is not a good look
i thought danny b sounded like danny dyer when he was having ago at martin all cockney like

MargotLovedTom · 21/11/2016 15:02

Dispatch another one here who noticed that Scarlett was happy for Danny to stick up for her but not Martin.

I have a feeling that Lisa will be the first to go, which is a shame as she seems very down to earth and just gets on with it.
