How comes you never see a removal van in EE? And also how comes the pavements in Bridge Street/Turpin Street not straight? They seem to be really wonky.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 15/10/2016 00:17

That has to be the longest move ever on EE, usually characters decide to leave 5 minutes before the end, heading for the tube station with a hastily packed rucksack in time for the duff duffs, I swear Les and Pam have been leaving for months.

Shame though because I love Pam and Bens scenes together, she really brings out the emotions in him.

cherrytree63 · 15/10/2016 00:55

How will all the sick people recover without Sonia?
What will the Catholics eat on Fridays without Buster's fish?
Will there be a washing machine shortage as everyone rushes to buy one when the laundrette closes for a face lift?
Will Lee cope with the glory of being the only 'Ender for 30 years to work outside of the square?

AlasEarwax · 15/10/2016 01:09

Well Bradley worked outside the square and look what happened to him! Maybe it's an omen.... Lee better watch his back! Shock

EnidButton · 15/10/2016 02:23

Aw that was a nice last episode for Pam and Les. All loose ends tied up neatly. She even got to wipe the smile off Babe's face. I'll miss Pam.

Wish they'd put the Julia's theme on the end of that episode and not the hen night one.

Optimist1 · 15/10/2016 08:40

Lee may well have landed a job, but I'm pretty sure it's not the executive City position with mega-pay that Whitney imagines. I hated her assertion that he'd be paid more in a month than someone else (I wasn't paying attention) is paid in a year. Her up-beat brittleness and his determination to provide for her are very uncomfortable to watch.

celeste83 · 15/10/2016 08:51

I just can't get my head round how Lee, Lee of all people, can walk into an executive job.

I'm glad Billy has landed on his feet. He deserves a break. I just hope EE don't make him out to be some bumbling boss who is doomed to failure and actually make him sucessful.

MrsJayy · 15/10/2016 09:22

It wont be an executive job like Whit thinks he is an awol soldier and an ex fishmonger. Not seen Pam leave yet will probably cry Blush

qazxc · 15/10/2016 10:11

I too am perplexed at what qualifications lee would have for a highly paid, executive job in the city. Surely Billy 's old job in the chippy is a better fit.
Unless the new job is a front for him doing something illegal.

MrsJayy · 15/10/2016 10:20

More than likely something dodgy.

Florathefern · 15/10/2016 11:34

He will turn out to be a stripper or something. He has a history of lying.

dingdongdigeridoo · 15/10/2016 11:58

They do so many storylines with the girlfriend wanting a wedding/house, so the poor downtrodden man has to go out and do something dodgy. Happened with Jay's dad, even Martin stole toilets.

Why Whit can't get another nursery job in London boggles the mind. There are endless childcare jobs. She could even be a private nanny for some rich people. That'd involve actually getting on the tube to go to work though.

MrsJayy · 15/10/2016 11:58

Male escort Grin he isnt exactly oozing charm and witty conversation though

celeste83 · 15/10/2016 13:22

Lauren and Whitney are the definition of lazy 20-somethings who do nothing but yet expect their partner's to give them the world. Lucy will probably turn out the same too. At least Abi works hard with her two jobs to be fair to her.

Florathefern · 15/10/2016 13:55

Well probably not Lucy seeing as she is dead :-)

celeste83 · 15/10/2016 14:03

Louise, Louise Blush

EnidButton · 15/10/2016 14:40

Was about to say Lucy has a cast iron excuse for being a bit lazy

NuggetofPurestGreen · 15/10/2016 15:57

Akire Ben offered to sack the fake mechanics but Jay doesn't want anything from Fiw. However he is going to live in his house now so not sure that's consistent!

IreallyKNOWiamright · 15/10/2016 16:07

Ooh interesting thread. I'm sad pam and Les have left. I def think Lee is lying. Or he will end up cheating again with a work colleague. I wonder who is going to move into the square now there are two other places available.

The80sweregreat · 15/10/2016 16:27

Lauren does work, she has an online design company. When Abi got the push from the Vic once, she tried to help lauren with it, but wasn't very good! You don't see her at work much , admittedly, but I think its still going.
Whitney does some part time work in the pub. Jobs are limited as none of them seem to want to commute anywhere from the fake station! I think Lee is telling porkies about the job too as his mate 'moose' was putting him down and would have been even more vile if it had been a no. however, how will he cope having to move away from the square to work. and what has happened to all the fish from Buster's van? going off in a bin that hasn't been collected ,lovely!

OhTinky · 15/10/2016 16:29

Could poor les have an off screen heart attack in Worthing? And then Pam could come back?!
Why was honey talking about foxes and the bins - it's such a random storyline/weird attempt at gritty realism!

Lee must be lying about the job. He has to be! Nobody has even asked what his executive job in the city is?!

NuggetofPurestGreen · 15/10/2016 16:29

Lauren has been working in the last couple of episodes, from the Beales' couch.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 15/10/2016 16:30

Did we ever know what Bradley's job in the city was? I just remember him wearing a suit and being ashamed of Stace in front of his posh colleagues.

The80sweregreat · 15/10/2016 16:44

Maybe Lee has taken over Bradley's old job? in this soap anything is possible. I doubt he would walk into a job like that in real life. He has his army CV but is that good enough? ( really do not know!)
I wish that Pam could return, they were not given the special music, so there is hope. she mentioned heart pills, so maybe he will forget to take them or something.. or Pam will get a job as a consultant social worker in the square and want to do it as she is bored silly in Worthing and les will just become Christine for good and stay down there and work as a DJ in one of the clubs in Brighton? see, I could write these story lines for them. come back Birdie.

EnidButton · 15/10/2016 16:57

Perhaps we'll see him going off to work in his new suit and tie. Then a couple of weeks later we'll follow him and find him sitting in a greasy spoon with half a cup of cold tea waiting for 5.30 when he can pretend he's finished work and go home.

OhTinky That crossed my mind about Les too. Blush Poor Pam, viewers mentally killing off her loved ones so we can have her back on the square.
