It was believable with Kat and Alfie but not with Stacey and clan.

Does Stacey work full time? Is she back on the market?

Stacey works with Belinda part time now. I don't know what happened to the clothing stall. I wouldn't count Matin and Stacey as two separate rent payers. They share a room. The whole house share is silly. Martin and Stacey are a family renting out two rooms. If their lodgers can't pay, then they need new lodgers but why on earth would they have taken on a bigger house if they couldn't manage the smaller rent in their old flat.

Martin and Stacey are terrible financial planners. They were just like 'we'll manage!' Still, their letting agent is doing a pretty crap job. Every time I've rented a place you have credit and affordability checks, which they wouldn't have passed if things were that dire.

Donna and Roxy run the clothes stall now I think.

Donna moved over to the Squaaaare when they combined the neighbouring market. Kat and Stacey ran a stall that sold the same clothes and both stalls were in were direct competition. Kat's stall started to lose money, Alfie then opened a men's clothes stall which didn't survive (unsure if that had anything to do with Kush's upmarket stall) and he then moved to Kat's stall for some time. Then Kat and Alfie won the lottery and left and Stacey was working for Dean. I'm unsure why Stacey didn't keep the stall going but I think she didn't have money to buy stock. It was all rather odd considering there is now enough work on Donna's stall to employ Roxy.

BUT Flora even if you don't count Martin and Stacey separately they still would pay £1000 between them as they pay for Lily and Bex's room too.

Last night they talked about the landlord as he but the house definitley belonged to janine

My thinking is that Martin, Stacey, Becs, Lily and Arthur own the house and all the bedrooms and can rent out rooms as they like. It doesn't have to be equal or split between four adults (although obviously as Kyle and Belinda are family, they aren't overpaying for the rooms). We are guessing its 2K per month. If they are splitting the rent equally, the four adults are paying 500 each per month (to me that seems very low) but perhaps Belinda and Kyle are happy to pay low rent...but would they also split the utility bills that way given there are two/three children also using hot water etc.

Again I'm totally flummoxed as to why they moved at all when they couldn't afford the cheaper rent.

Martin said the landlord gave permission to decorate the bedrooms - Janine must have a estate agent looking after things, but then Martin would have said that surely, or said 'landlady'! As nobody mentions her or seems to keep in touch with her, how would he know where she is? She didn't sell up when she disappeared with her daughter, although I cant remember who lived there then ( Bianca? not sure) I thought it was odd too. Who owns what is a mystery in the square. Those flats of Jack's were finished in no time at all as well!

Nugget, yes. They have different writers on EE so i guess its an oversight and Janine has been gone a while now! She got away with the murder of one of the Moons, i think..

..Janine had a letting business once and used to employ Billy to run around for her. How i forget! Lol. She had a nice office too.

I loved Janine. One of the best soap characters of all time. Michael Moon was bloody brilliant too. Shame they killed him off as I'd like to have seen him pop up again one day. Mind you look at Kathy...

Enid, Michael,, yes, forgot his name. him with the high buttoned shirts! The halloween killing was brilliant, Janine getting away with it, she has more lives than a cat..

They could do with a schemer like Janine. Most of the current cast are just too nice by soap standards. Even Louise who seemed like a right shit stirrer has done nothing really of note.

Babe is horrible, but i cant warm to her. Janine did show her vunerable side sometimes and was good at manipulating folk. She was so nasty to Barry, yet he carried on believing she wasnt that bad. She was a schemer alright.
Im surprised she hasnt come back. There arnt any Butchers left now.

Oh yeah forgot about Babe! She's not fun to watch like Janine was though. She doesn't go around seducing the gormless men of Walford!

To be fair to Babe when she first arrived she tried to seduce Patrick and Les. I think she is quite good at playing the bad person. She is a very dark character.

Oh god can you imagine Janine turning up and having a show down with aunt babe. Aunt babe wouldn't last long at all

Now that's an episode I'd like to see.

Did any of you see Janine/Charlie Brooks on Jungle Celebrities or whatever it's called? She was lovely and ended up winning it. Opposite of Janine!
