MiddleClassProblem · 21/10/2016 09:00

Tbh I won't either because I can't come to the November one Grin

RebootYourEngine · 21/10/2016 22:47

Who is the patronising twat on Extra Slice? I thought Jo said he was a comedian. Havent heard anything funny yet from him.

ppeatfruit · 22/10/2016 22:12

Yes Reboot I just watched An Extra Slice. The "comedian'" was a twit. Love Nadiya (she looked amazing in her false eyelashes, did you notice her looking at the screens around the studio?) Liked the Scottish woman too.

Great fun with Jo saying that Selasi has heard there's a few jobs going !

powershowerforanhour · 23/10/2016 13:03

I reckon the makeup artist on Extra Slice is brilliant. Nadiya is very pretty anyway but the makeup artist has made all the contestants and other guests look fab. It's not something I'd normally notice but they all look good on the show. I was prepared to dislike the male panellist as I thought he looked smug but he was quite funny I thought...the "not an Elton John themed episode of Cash In The Attic" comment made me laugh.

ppeatfruit · 23/10/2016 13:56

Yes the MU artist makes Jo look good too Grin. Nadiya looked extraordinarily lovely, she didn't need those lashes IMO !

NotCitrus · 23/10/2016 14:10

Ah, I thought Nadiya and the others looked too caked in makeup, even by TV standards. The contrast with the studio audience made it more glaring.

The Tom bloke was annoying but redeemed himself with the Cash in the Attic line and comments about bacon.

Brillig · 23/10/2016 17:47

Checking in v late to this thread although I've been watching the series from the start. Haven't really been enthused I'm afraid, and think it's probably the right time for the move to C4 and the end of GBBO as we know it

I'd like Jane to win purely because I cannot abide Can-do-no-wrong-Candice and her constant preening, pouting and gurning, and I don't think Andrew's massively consistent, but tbh I don't think anyone's been that great this series.

On a more positive note, did anyone see P Hollywood on Harry Hill's Teatime? They deep-fried one of his books in batter GrinGrinGrin

ppeatfruit · 24/10/2016 09:44

Notcitrus Halloween Wink I can see the day when all the GBBO participants have to go through the SCD spray tan booth before filming !!!

ppeatfruit · 26/10/2016 09:36

Interview with Mary on R2 this morning. I'm Sooooo sad it's finishing today. Though she did say that her and Mel and Sue would love to do something together on the BEEB.

PenguindreamsofDraco · 26/10/2016 14:51

I'm sad that this is the last bake off I will watch and it's just a bit meh. Don't really care over much about anybody left.

Mner · 26/10/2016 16:09

Same penguin. It's a bit of an anti climax really

MitzyLeFrouf · 26/10/2016 17:32

I feel 'meh' too. But I suppose the upside is at least it's all to play for so we can't tell who the winner will be.

Soubriquet · 26/10/2016 18:19

I'm looking forward to it....

Candice for the win!

emotionsecho · 26/10/2016 18:30

I thought Nadiya looked lovely on 'An Extra Slice' she is so attractive.

DH picked Jane and Candis as his winners at the start of this season, however, previous seasons have shown that the front runners can crash and burn in the Final. I'm not sure who I want to win, I was rooting for Nadiya so much last season (she has been my favourite ever winner) and just haven't felt the same about this one.

There hasn't seemed to be as much fun in this series, previous ones definitely had something 'extra' to them.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing what they will be baking.

bookbook · 26/10/2016 18:38

well, thought I would get tonight going, and have already eaten my cake......( in fairness, it was birthday cake I made yesterday for my son in laws birthday tea) In our family we now have - Lemon Dribble Cake -he loves lemon drizzle, so I made it as a Victoria sponge , with lemon curd filling - the lemon curd did not behave itself , hence lemon dribble. I do have 2 little bits of courgette brownie cake, and spare cream though :)
I would like Jane to win I think, but I am not sure I am too bothered, just as long as they all bake well.

Rrross1ges · 26/10/2016 18:50

I'm team Jane but I think Andrew might get it because they haven't had a male winner for a while.

I've got ginger cake with salted caramel sauce for later.

RebootYourEngine · 26/10/2016 19:50

I'm team Jane however I wouldnt be too upset if Andrew won.

I have cookies ready for later.

LemonRedwood · 26/10/2016 19:50

Haven't baked for tonight but have made my own chocolate caramels. Tempered chocolate and everything Smile

LemonRedwood · 26/10/2016 19:51

Oh, and I'd like Jane to win

bookbook · 26/10/2016 19:52

*Lemon^ - just ....

LemonRedwood · 26/10/2016 19:53

Hoping DH is late home and then I don't have to share Grin

Roussette · 26/10/2016 19:54

You lot with those lovely pics! Could just do with chocolate, cake... anything really!

LemonRedwood · 26/10/2016 19:56

Oh bother, he's on his way. Which means sharing chocs and hitting pause on GBBO so I'll be watching behind. Will have to stay away from mn and Facebook!
