God I love Louis.

Anyone watching tonight? This is a follow up documentary (afaik) about Jimmy Saville. He made one in the 90s, so will be interesting what he has to say now.

I found the PA woman quite appalling Fair enough saying she never saw anything at the time, but to deny now is beyond the pale.

Even after he treated her dreadfully by sacking her in a sentence in front of everyone, after about 30 years pandering to him, she was still fighting his corner.

You can see the Web and connections at work. In the original Louis theroux interview of JS. JS was able to get LT ex directory address from his 'sources'.He spoke on camera about not being ' a grass'. How does a radio disc jockey become lauded by the establishment ( royalty, PM, Pope etc). Was he able to procure children for others to abuse? Is that why he was knighted ? why he was never charged while alive? maybe because he had very powerful people protecting him..

Someone up thread mentioned JS being interviewed on the In the Psychiatrists Chair programme. The interviewer was the beautifully honey-toned Dr.Anthony Clare who found the interview 'disturbing', (not least because when The Duchess died he spent 5 days alone with her body before releasing it. He said that it was the only time he had her to himself..)
You can read about the interview by googling 'dr.anthony Clare Jimmy saville'.
Why didn't L.T. Know of this and refer to it? I find that strange, really because for me it throws a doubt on LT's strengths as an investigative reporter and a man I'd always admired.
