Is anyone watching 'Containment'?

Just wondering if it's going to be one of those shows that I'm the only person who watches so it gets cancelled - like The Tomorrow People - or if anyone else is as enthralled by it as I am?

Before I watched Containment I read that it was only intended to be a one off series. I really hope that is the case, as otherwise I'll be reet annoyed! I persuaded my DP to watch with me on that basis Grin

Cordon was foreign language with English subtitles.

I found it quite scary how quickly people started to run out of food and wondered how realistic that was.

I'd run out of fresh within a week, but dried / canned ect could probably last a few months without going out.

You'd need a lot in to last a few months though. Even if you only ate one can of food a day, that's 30 cans you need for one month. Add in dried foods, and most people won't have the cupboard space for a months worth of food, especially if there's several people living in the house. We certainly don't have enough non-perishables to feed our family (2 adults, 2 children) for a month.

Plus some people are a bit more minimalistic about how much they keep in.

I was completely choked up about the teacher. I really didn't expect it to be so emotional! Blush

Disappointed there won't be a 2nd series, I guess there won't be a decent conclusion.

I really expected a last minute cure for Katie. There seems to be a lot of loose ends to try and tie up in an hour.

Cordon, the Belgian original was much darker and they have changed enough of the US version to make it watchable.

Having watched both I did prefer the Belgian one, which had more plot lines, a great ending that set up the SECOND series which is currently showing on Belgium telly. Really hoping the BBC pick it up as I have to know what happens next and I dont speak flemish! Grin

I just caught up with the last couple of episodes and was actually quite happy with how all the loose ends were tied up. I'm glad there was no big cliffhanger. The priest providing the antibodies for a cure was so American!
