They're all mocking Mary's lairs.

Good lord that cake looks like it needs to be in my belly.

Roussette · 05/10/2016 20:24

Selasi seems quite competitive tonight... not so laidback as normal

God I could eat that creation too... love nutty meringue, love roulade love all of this Grin

LemonRedwood · 05/10/2016 20:24

Mary just admitted 3 hours isn't enough time

GrouchyKiwi · 05/10/2016 20:24

Sinister Brendan would have been all over this technical. It has a 70s glitz.

thatstoast · 05/10/2016 20:24

That cake is so retro.

keepingonrunning · 05/10/2016 20:25

Tom browning his nuts Grin

CrotchetQuaverMinim · 05/10/2016 20:25

yeah the time thing is definitely deliberate

LemonRedwood · 05/10/2016 20:26

Oh I loved Brendan! They are repeating all the previous series on Food channel at the moment and I rewatched series 3 final at the weekend. Proper weeping along with Brendan as he tried to talk about his family reunion.

GrouchyKiwi · 05/10/2016 20:27

Why is my house praline free? Why am I lacking all the good stuff? Maybe one of the bakers wants to volunteer to be my pastry chef. Not Tom.

Bulletpr00f · 05/10/2016 20:27

Due to bedtime i've missed the name of the nut meringue thing they're making. Can anyone help? And can I buy it in waitrose? It looks lovely!

LemonRedwood · 05/10/2016 20:28

prah-leen or pray-leen?

Minimammoth · 05/10/2016 20:28

I am still distracted by Candices lip decor, it's very 'Alice in wonderland' this week.
Is it all layers this week then( just switched on)

bookbook · 05/10/2016 20:29

Puts them under time pressure, which isn't fair really. The nearest thing I have made like this was 4 layers of hazelnut meringue with chocolate orange ganache filling. I never even got a piece, but everyone liked it. It took a while...

GrouchyKiwi · 05/10/2016 20:29

I think it's a Marjolain.

GrouchyKiwi · 05/10/2016 20:30

Maybe you can come bake for me, books.

fourquenelles · 05/10/2016 20:30

I made a chestnut meringue thingy last christmas... nothing as clever as this but it tasted nice!

LemonRedwood · 05/10/2016 20:31

5 minutes left? They're still all only half-done. They could at least make the editing believable.

bookbook · 05/10/2016 20:31

I would love to Grouchy - by goodness , these look good...

GrouchyKiwi · 05/10/2016 20:31

Drunk looking. Grin

Those cakes are amazing. AMAZING.

fourquenelles · 05/10/2016 20:32

Again, I could eat ALL of these, every last crumb.

I've always said praylean but I guess it's meant to be prahlean

GrouchyKiwi · 05/10/2016 20:33

Lemon I say "Prah-leen" because of the German thing, but I ignore the rest of the German pronunciation.

keepingonrunning · 05/10/2016 20:33

I believe prah-leen is the proper French pronunciation Lemon

Roussette · 05/10/2016 20:33

I love a chew on my meringue!
