Hi, but behind with the times I know, but we've just got Netflix and was Hoping for some suggestions.
I end up scrolling for ages without choosing anything!
I like series like homeland, doctor foster, not really into comedy.
Any ideas....?

Just started rewatching Green Wing. It's so bonkers it hasn't dated too much, except for the mobile phones and huuuuge monitors in the office scenes. I love Mac all over again.

DiegeticMuch · 24/08/2016 11:29

The Good Wife
Damages
Rebellion
Gossip Girl
Hinterland

AlfrescoBalconyWanker · 24/08/2016 11:45

Jessica Jones - stick with it
Marco Polo
Thick of It
What we did on our holidays
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul

Off sick at the mo, and just binge watched stranger things on the back of this threads recommendations. I don't usually like series were the main protagonists are kids, but this one really sucked me in. Would highly recommend! Thanks guys.

Orphan Black is v good, even if the plot doesn't appeal it's worth watching just to marvel at the talent of one woman playing a dozen different people, all with such distinct posture and mannerisms that you can tell when one character is impersonating another even though they're both played by her.

On a more trashy note, i spent most of yesterday binge watching How Clean is your Crime Scene and getting overly emotionally invested in the lives of the cleaners. Blush

jay55 · 29/08/2016 13:57

starchild thanks for the How clean rec, couldn't stop watching it. I wanted to take poor young Joe home feed him soup and let him sleep for a week. No idea how he kept such a cheerful disposition.

SestraClone · 29/08/2016 18:42

My faves are ...

Orphan Black
Stranger Things
Jane the Virgin
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Breaking Bad
Orange is the New Black
Bloodlines

SestraClone · 29/08/2016 18:45

starchild - absolutely agree on the talents of the main actress from Orphan Black - you can always tell when she is one being another (trying not to spoil it for others!)

Pud2 · 29/08/2016 21:59

I loved Line of Duty, series 1 and 2. 3 excellent too but don't know if that's on Netfix yet.

Bagina · 29/08/2016 22:04

Omg, how good is Damages? Very clever and completely addictive. Just started the second series.

Queenbean · 29/08/2016 22:06

Nobody has mentioned pretty little liars!

My favourite is when you find something you like, then realise it has about 20 episodes per season and 6-8 seasons. Thaannnkkkkk yooooouuuu!

Justdontaskhowiam · 29/08/2016 22:09

Crazy ex girlfriend is my latest go to when dh is out - check out the yoga song-ep 2 I think - very funny.

Bagina · 29/08/2016 22:10

I hear you Queen, but I think the quality can suffer when there's too many Breaking Bad

Queenbean · 29/08/2016 22:10

Justdont I love CEGF, it is so funny! I binge watched the whole season in one day....

starchildareyoulistening · 29/08/2016 22:10

jay55 me too bless his heart! It really struck me that such a young kid is a combat veteran with 2 tours in Iraq... I have no military family/friends and had never fully considered just how young some soldiers are. :(

digestivemuncher · 29/08/2016 22:15

Grace and Frankie
Pretty little liars
Orange is the new black
Breaking bad

Omg there's so many!!!

digestivemuncher · 29/08/2016 22:16

American Horror Story!!! Shock

Forgot to mention that in my first post

starchildareyoulistening · 29/08/2016 22:19

Bagina calling it 6 seasons as s5 was split over two years, Breaking Bad only had 7 - 13 episodes per season! Very unusual for an American show to have so few.

Justdontaskhowiam · 29/08/2016 22:21

Queenbean ikr! Really enjoying it :-)

Bagina · 29/08/2016 22:27

Star, you're right. And it was still too many controversial can't think what I was watching that had 22 episodes, and just went on and on...

Bagina · 29/08/2016 22:28

may have been Bloodline

rugbychick1 · 29/08/2016 22:29

Agree with Dexter, but also loved Lillehammer

Bagina · 29/08/2016 22:30

I miss Dexter.

Bagina · 29/08/2016 22:32

I hope Netflix get The Wire at some point. That's my number 1.

jay55 · 29/08/2016 23:31

I loved Lilyhammer too I was convinced I could speak norweigan by the end.

I'll add a vote for izombie.

I just rewatched the last couple of seasons of gilmore girls ready for the new episodes.
