Anyone watching Wentworth Prison?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else has been watching Wentworth Prison on 5*? No one I know seems to have heard of it but I'm addicted! It's a modern day remake of Prisoner Cell Block H and it's absolutely fantastic!

I've got the box set of pcbh - all 692 episodes on Dvd! I used to tape them all on video in the 90's. Think that's why I did so well in my GCSEs as I stayed up studying until 11.40pm prisoner time!

Just started another thread about this, didn't see this one oops! This series has been the best yet, Pamela Rabe is fantastic as Joan.

I've watched the whole series, don't worry I won't give away any spoilers but the finale actually took me a few days to recover from the drama!

Love it, but can't persuade anyone I know to watch it....Loons!

Ahhhh nearing the end of the series now! It's so tense and exciting! Does anyone else think Vera is a very underused character? The actress plays such a great part but I don't think she gets good storylines (apart from the one with her mum).

I watched the first few when it started but just couldn't get to grips with it. I'm a huge fan of Cell Block H and had been looking forward to it but it didn't work for me at all. Would rather watch the original on YouTube.

How fantastic was that last episode!!? Best thing I've seen in years. Did Ali not die then?

I'm traumatised!!! It's going to be a long wait for the next series!

i didnt expect that ending

God, watched the finale before bed last night and still in shock! What a brilliant bit of telly!

I can't believe that ending???? Is Bea actually dead?!?! What the hell?!

Oh thank god you're here! I don't know anyone who watches it so couldn't share my trauma with them.

That ending! No, no, no! Beyond tragic and left me sobbing. The seahorses in the clouds were what did it. That and the shock of it being for nothing in the end.

Her last words, "I win".

Im still on series 4. I bloody love it. I hardly ever manage to get into tv series, but Wentworth is so well done
