And what is the appeal of Jack exactly? He's moody, gruff, looks like a bag of spanners, is hardly Dad of the year and yet he had an intelligent, attractive woman chasing half way across the country after him. Plus Roxy and Sam and whoever the mother of his first child is. I don't see what they see.

I can't tell you how relieved I am that I am not the only one with a crush on Harry Reid. It felt wrong before, but now it doesn't .

Jamie/Jack Ryder was recently in the BBC Show 'In the Club' and he looked so different!

The father and son episode was a bit boring tbh. I found most of the conversations/interactions between father and son quite tedious.

Harry Reid I always has been under-rated. Must be a hard part to play - he was violent towards Jordan, really creepy towards Louise and killed Heather. He has a mother who pretended to be dead, a dad who he has a strong love/hate relationship with. Then he has the vulnerable side that was abused by that scary lady and cant come to terms with his sexuality. And he has the legacy of the previous actors - the really nervous, camp kid and then that really, really creepy guy who killed Heather. All that to carry off whilst making himself at least half likable or someone we can empathise with is a hard task. Reminds me of Danny Miller/Aaron in Emmerdale, has a difficult upbringing, quick to use his fists, but somehow you still find yourself rooting for them to be happy.

Sorry meant Sam not Roxy. Amy was the kid with Roxy. Matthew is Ronnis and Charlie's son isn't he? It is so confusing.

Shehas Completely agree about Harry Reid, it's not easy to take on a character that's been played by other people, Keep their characterisation intact while at the same time doing your own thing. He's managed to bring out the previous aspects very well.

The previous actor had a pointed chin and small rounder face.

I know it's only TV but I wish they'd kept Ben and Paul together longer before killing him off. Both boys deserved happiness and we never saw how Phil would have reacted about them moving in together. Plus I much, much preferred Ben with Paul- the potential of a Ben and Johnnu pairing isn't a good one.

Yeah I think Matthew is Charlie "did Ronnie have him killed or not?" Cotton's too, I think jack also has a daughter with a non-mitchell woman from a while back I think she's disabled and lives in France, ah yes she was disabled by something jack did, car accident or something .....

I'm sure Jack's eldest DD was crippled by thugs who were after him when he was in the police (so his fault in a roundabout kind of way, hence him feeling to blame).

Oh yeah, totally forgot about Charlie so Jack had Amy with Roxy, Richard with Sam and James with Ronnie, as well as his older daughter, Jess i think? I dont see the draw either Enid. He's not all that.

I thought more could have been done with Paul and Ben before killing Paul off. Seems a shame as i thought he had potential (although his hair annoyed me rather a lot)

Ah yes panini that sounds right, Thanks! I think he didn't see her for years as he was so guilty and/or possibly kept her a secret from whomever he was seeing at the time
