What I don't get is, grant asking Jane about kids?

Surely Phil or Peggy told him about Bobby or Lucy. It would have been on the news!!!

southeastdweller · 09/08/2016 19:59

But of course Mark went to a British school Grin

AndYourBirdCanSing · 09/08/2016 20:05

I loved the fear on Ian's face after having a go at Grant! Grin

Kirriemuir · 09/08/2016 20:08

I hope that wasn't the end of grant.

BadHairDay0 · 09/08/2016 21:19

Surely not! There must be a little wiggle room in the stories for a Belinda-Sharon ringlet/quiff-off...? Straightening irons at dawn...

Lulooo · 09/08/2016 23:07

Mark going to a British school so he can come with a British accent is just plain daft. So predictably EE. And Ian's face as he tried to stand up to Grant was a picture to behold. Grin

MrBoot · 10/08/2016 00:17

Even if Mark went to a British school, he wouldn't have an English accent. It would be an American accent with a slight British twang when he says certain words. If he comes back with a completely British accent, despite living in America for 21 years, it will be utterly ridiculous. Setting us up for a British accent with good teeth is downright silly.

There is something about Grant's eyes that make me swoon......

When did Ronnie get so weak. I know they try to portray her as a strong Mitchell woman, but after the Charlie storyline, she suddenly seemed to just lose any substance - her long dreary hair, huddling up in a cardigan all the time, ending up with Jack the least exciting and charismatic man in the Square while pushing her Uppababy around the market. Since Roxy lost her horrible extensions, she looks about ten years younger than Ronnie and has a much stronger persona.

SheHasAWildHeart · 10/08/2016 08:40

I have a lot of family who live abroad but attend British schools - doesn't mean they have perfect British accents, because outside of school they aren't surrounded by British people. Ridiculous.

I've thought that a long time about Ronnie - I also think that the actress who plays her looks bored most of the time. I also wondered yesterday whether when she comes on set they spray her hair with something to make it look unwashed - I suppose as a mother to three, living with Andy and Jack it's all taken its toll on her.

MrsJayy · 10/08/2016 08:49

I laughed when Roxy said to Ronnie i wont spoil your happy moment and Ronnies face was like stone she has no expression at all wonders if it is botox. I have family members whos kids dont have the accents of the country they live in 1 set of kids go to a Brittish/international school and have an English accent they were born abroad. Other just moved to England the kids are now adults and still have Scottish accents

mrswhiplington · 10/08/2016 10:40

Loved Grant's greeting to Kathy, "I see you're back from the dead then", after being caught with his trousers down.

I thought Belinda was just going to give him a pedicure.Grin I think Grant and Belinda could have some great storylines together.

MissBattleaxe · 10/08/2016 10:45

I see Grant still has his black vest from the 90s. He is ENORMOUS. He looks like he's made out of beige plasticine.

MrsJayy · 10/08/2016 10:47

I noticed it is to go with his leather jacket he left in 😂

SheHasAWildHeart · 10/08/2016 11:02

Grant & Belinda both look like they're from the 80s.

Heavens2Betsy · 10/08/2016 11:47

Beliefs looks like a 50s throwback!!!

Heavens2Betsy · 10/08/2016 11:47

BELINDA I mean
FFS. Grin

MrsJayy · 10/08/2016 11:59

I love B'lindas style its fabulous hate the quiff the rest is great. Dd2 is into all that 50s thing

harverina · 10/08/2016 12:20

I found it bizarre that Grant was talking to Jane in the lighthearted and flirty way that he was - surely just looking at her he would notice something was wrong...

Also loved his opening line to Cathie! He really is huge! He looks like he is ready to burst!

NuggetofPurestGreen · 10/08/2016 12:34

Who does Phil think he's kidding? 'I've had a chance to be a good father'. He's horrible to Ben! And not brilliant with Louise either.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 10/08/2016 12:36

"You haven't changed at all have you"

Of course not, there's only so much character development you can squeeze into a total of half an hour screen time over 10 years.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 10/08/2016 12:38

And poor adopted son Jay.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 10/08/2016 13:01

Where is Masood, surely he's back from holiday in india by now?

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/08/2016 17:22

Just watched last nights

I Imm noticed the British school thing a ie means Mark will come in with a normal /British accent compared to vicki and her awful amercian one that then disapeered a few weeks later

Did wonder how jane we going to get a crying baby upstairs

Still want to see the living room wall - surely the table must be through it 😁😁😁😁

Jasonandyawegunorts · 10/08/2016 17:31

Masood didn't leave for good did he?
Did i missunderstand the plane ticket thing from months ago?

MrsJayy · 10/08/2016 17:36

No he hasnt gone for good

IslaMann · 10/08/2016 19:44

He was in it the other week when jack took Richard to beavers. Such an underused character. He has a dark side (gambling, temper,) that the writers could do so much with.
