(and yes I know on of them is from MN Towers)

But really. All this obsessing over schools.

Surely a wind up?

missed it this week, somehow felt the school one wasn't going to be as amusing as the kids party one.

Completely unrepresentative group of people, probably friends of the producers (media types?, once or twice being mildly amusing but mostly just showing off. Maybe even actors, not real parents? I don't know anybody who would be that negative, bitchy or competitive about their children's parties. Most of my friends keep it simple and fairly traditional - pass the parcel, sandwiches, crisps and cake in a church hall sort of thing, 2 hours maximum. We all help each other and lend each other things. Everybody goes home happy if a bit overtired.

I didn't see the one about schools, didn't fancy it after last week's programme. It would have been nice if the programme makers had cast their net a bit wider, geographically as well as socially. What do really poor people do for their children's parties? They are probably a lot more resourceful and imaginative than that stuck-up bunch. It looks like lazy programme making to me. I won't be watching the series again. A shame, because it sounded intriguing.

Sorry nothing to add. Just to say I read the title as "Madness of Monty Python? Who are these weirdos?". I think I need to go back to bed lol

Aha. Just seen the other thread. So they ARE actors. Just a thought, though, it is possible to be an actor and a parent at the same time . If they are actors, couldn't they pretend to be from different backgrounds and parts of the country? Or would they have to be paid more for that? Or is it beyond their acting ability? I must admit I feel a bit cheated. Hmm.
