I miss Breaking Bad

DH and I watched the Breaking Bad box set last year, and it took over our lives; when we had finished watching it, we were bereft.
I just feel that nothing else will ever be such engrossing viewing; enjoyed Better Call Saul, but it just wasn't the same.
Any recommendations to fill a Breaking Bad- shaped hole in our lives?
Would like to buy a DVD box set to take on upcoming UK holiday.

I'm a huge TV addict. For me, Breaking Bad is a top tier show, with only 4-5 shows on a similar level. For me, they are:

The Sopranos
The Wire
Lost
Game of Thrones

And although it's a little soon to say, the first two seasons of Fargo were brilliant. If it continues in this form, it's going to join my top tier group for sure.

The Sopranos and The Wire are both must-watches as long as you don't mind that they're around a decade or more old now. That doesn't bother me in the slightest but I know that for some people it does.

@MassiveStrumpet The Wire is vastly superior to Sons of Anarchy. I'm surprised about your opinion on Fargo though, because I thought season 2 was even better than the first. Both are incredible but season 2 was damn near perfect.

True detective - the second one (first one is pants).

tempted with fargo but I saw the channel 4 version, is this the same one or a remake? with Martin Freeman
i was thinking it wasnt worth watching the netflix one?
what should I do? just watch second series or start from the beginning?

caju · 05/07/2016 19:28

The Fargo shown on channel 4 with Martin Freeman is the same as the one on netflix, yes.

True Detective season 1 was fantastic, season 2 was absolute rubbish that I struggled to even continue watching.

My favourite at the moment is The Americans. I loved Lost, Prison Break, GoT, Homeland, Fringe, Dexter and The Bridge. I think there is a new Prison Break season next year which I eagerly await.

The tunnel and the tunnel sabotage, from Sky Box sets I also found very good.
