Jason leaving has to help, he is more wooden than a clothes peg.

I wish Kym Marsh was properly leaving too - I feel they are taunting us with what could have been with all this cruise ship talk.

No-one in Coronation Street leaves the street for work, they live on the street, they find their partners on the street, they have all their nights out in The Rovers or the Bistro....it's a very small world they live in. That's when they're not in Jail obviously.

unimagmative13 · 14/07/2016 19:02

Yes I agreed 3 gay people always means the all sleep with each other and I also ranted about eastenders. All gay relationships involve some pretending they are straight or in a straight relationship. Usually coming out by having an affair.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 14/07/2016 19:45

When Leanne has her baby the waters will break in public, and within the same episode she will have had the baby with the medical assistance of someone from the factory or the pub. No one has a caesarean.

Last week when Bethany was looking for a job she said she was "widening the net" and Gary said "Where to, Inkerman Street ? " - made me laugh.

This bloody 'love triangle' with Freddie and Audrey and Ken is driving me mad. It was like they started it, forgot about it and then remembered it and started it from the start again. Surely Freddie would just say 'what's going on?' to Ken? Also what was the point of Audrey's confession of love to Ken? Gragh

Olddear · 15/07/2016 09:42

I know! I get fed up with all these stupid misunderstandings that could be put right in seconds!

Twoseventhsaweasley · 15/07/2016 09:44

Freddie and Audrey make a better couple than Ken and Audrey. I hope that they eventually get together. Derek Griffiths is fab so I would love him to stick around.

On a completely different note, Stuart Blackburn is still credited as the producer at the moment. I wonder when Kate Oates will take over?

Rachel0Greep · 15/07/2016 11:39

They need to move on that love triangle, or whatever one might call it. It's boring. All three are at the stage of life where they should have enough life experience to say what they mean, and end all this nonsense.

Housewife2010 · 15/07/2016 19:46

Was Michelle planning to keep her ponytail in during her entire hair salon appointment? Audrey even started combing it with the blasted bobble in!

squoosh · 15/07/2016 19:58
Shock

I didn't know that was going to happen! That was very graphic for Corrie.

Optimist1 · 15/07/2016 20:06

Yes, very graphic - at first I thought it was the broken bottle that had got her, but then the knife ... Shock

Olddear · 15/07/2016 20:39

Where's this ambulance????

FiveShelties · 15/07/2016 21:09

Oh my - had to grab the tissues. Even though I knew what was going to happen (thanks to spoilers above) it was still dramatic.

Xmaslover · 15/07/2016 22:25

Who was watching max and lily before Audrey and Freddie took over?

Something else I've noticed as well , whenever there is trouble Luke is always there as the guy who runs after the culprit down the street (never finds them though)
Or the guy who alerts people to impending doom, seriously that is his role just waiting to be there as non important character to get his two lines in the episode.
I wish they'd give him a decent story

RainbowCake · 15/07/2016 23:55

Audrey and Freddie went to tell Gail Who was at home with Bethany, Max and Lilly.

I agree, Luke could do a half decent story as long as Maria wasn't involved. They are just using him as an extra at the moment.

MissBattleaxe · 16/07/2016 06:14

Heartbreakingly good last night. I sobbed!

Olddear · 16/07/2016 06:22

......and David called Gail 'mum' for the first time in ages.

Clawdy · 16/07/2016 12:14

I thought the actual stabbing was ridiculous - as if he would stab her in full view of bystanders, where he is known and recognisable. It would have made far more sense if he had punched her, or if the broken bottle had injured her. However, the following scenes were upsetting and very well-acted, especially by David.

southeastdweller · 16/07/2016 18:02

I've mixed feelings about the episodes last night. First of all I feel a mug for being taken in by the lies and hype put forward by ITV about how Kylie was going to die. Also David's yelling and face-pulling when she shouted 'Noooooooo!' was bordering on comical and almost ruined an otherwise moving moment. What I found odd was how quiet the street was - where was the loud crying, the shouting? A friend and neighbour has just been stabbed and now she's fighting for her life yet everyone's acting like she's having an angina attack!

But overall I was moved and loved the scene with Gail and David where he called her 'mum' and she talked about Brian Sad.

Rachel0Greep · 16/07/2016 20:45

Thinking back on it, that was the most moving piece for me, when Gail talked about trying to tell Nick about Brian.
Also, right at the end, David telling the children, and Lily doing pinkie promise.

Eastie77 · 16/07/2016 22:25

It really was bizarre that the stabbing took place in the middle of the day and yet the street was almost completely deserted. Surely people would have spilled out from the Rovers to observe what was happening.

The most ludicrous aspect was the ambulance and police taking 20mins or so to arriveConfused. Made no sense. When Audrey had her angina attack recently Ken called an ambulance and it arrived almost before he'd hung up. Why didn't someone rush to the medical centre for help.

Agree the scene with Gail talking about Brian was incredibly moving. Not sure her advice to tell Max exactly how his mum died was correct though, he's really too young.

Nivea101 · 17/07/2016 09:52

I thought it was brilliant and loved Kylie, David and Gail's acting. Sure there were some OTT moments like Kylie's loooong dying speech but it is entertainment after all. I'll miss Paula Lane but no doubt she'll be back again on our TV's as she's such a good actress. Cried my eyes out on Friday night and so I watched it again yesterday to see if I'd missed any bits and it was still very moving.

Best ep of Corrie I've seen in a long time.

MargotLovedTom · 17/07/2016 10:26

I've just watched it this morning - agree with the above points, it seemed to go on forever with everyone just standing around looking a bit perturbed. If a young woman was bleeding to death in the open there'd be crowds of people all flapping about whether to move her, hysteria, sobbing, yelling about ambulances, just a general sense of urgency. Also sniggered at David's gormless "Noooooooooooooo!" face; I'm obviously evil Wink.

Xmaslover · 17/07/2016 11:14

They haven't mentioned Izzy in jail have they?
I thought there would have been a few scenes of her in jail

MissBattleaxe · 17/07/2016 11:37

I think they were right to stand back. The ambulance had been called and it was clearly a tender moment with her husband. Unless anyone there was a paramedic, standing back was probably the right thing to do.
