Yes but a couple of weeks ago it wasn't that big. The sofa was much closer to the table and an extra door has now appeared that wasn't there previously.

The extra door has always been there, hasn't it? I remember noticing it a while ago & wondering why they had 2 doors through to the hall!

Yeah that makes sense, Little kitchen has a back door leading to the garden bit, which is what the window looks out on. But as we now have a bigger room to film in the camera pulls back more than in the 80's and shows more of the wall on the right.

This shows the main living room as it was. Ian's has been knocked through into the front reception that used to be Lou's bedroom.

I am including this picture of Frank Butcher because it came up during my extensive Internet search for the Fowler living room and I can not unsee it.

All that's really happen on the set design front in 30 years is the gap between the end wall and the end window and between the stairs and the middle door has increased by about a foot.

yes 2 doors as used to be lous room/no one ever saw/used it after mark left and ian decided to knock through

the kitchen has extended as no way in the old days could there be room for a huge oven plus work space

same with most kitchens, used to be a tiny table in one of them,now a massive one

pub kitchen the same, tiny square table and now huge rectangle sits 6/8 of therm

let alone when move the table inot the living room and amazingly fits in/along side the sofas

The Fowlers kitchen looks about a foot smaller than Ian's - the sink unit used to overlap the fireplace, now there is space.

Somethng that's been bothering me.... the stairs come right up to the door to the right of the kitchen... you can see this in both old an new photos.
But when Bobby pushed Jane down she ended up laying in a hallway some where.

I thought Lou's room was at rightangles to the original sitting room but in the knocked through set up, they continue in a straight line.

I don't remember the cupboard under the stairs being visible or ever mentioned. Yes the kitchen is much bigger.
