Anything else?

I suppose Pam's secret is something boring like she paid off Jenny to leave Paul as a baby.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 13/07/2016 08:55

I'm 100% convinced the writers read this site now.
Remember when we (And by we I actually mean ME) were questioning where everyone slept in Ian’s house originally, Lou, pauline, Mark, Michelle, Arthur and Martin.... well they answered it in the last episode the magic stud wall that makes the room twice the size.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 13/07/2016 09:08

Whitney has been raiding Pats earing box.

Whitney is about 22 or 21, she was 14 when she first appeared, we know this because there was that peopdophile plot, the actress is probably older.

Dirty Den was her father.
Which is dodgy as fuck now, considering they retconned Ian and her to be the same age 15.

SoupDragon · 13/07/2016 09:13

considering they retconned Ian and her to be the same age 15.

Ian and who?

Jasonandyawegunorts · 13/07/2016 09:15

michelle

SoupDragon · 13/07/2016 09:17

They were always the same age. It's possible Michelle was a school year older I guess.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 13/07/2016 09:22

michelle used to be 16 almost 17 when the Show started... Ian was 15.

SoupDragon · 13/07/2016 09:33

They were one school year apart, no more.

She was 16 when pregnant with Vicky.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 13/07/2016 09:36

Wikipedia says they ages Ian in 1990 from 19 to 21, so that explains it.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 13/07/2016 09:38
In 1990 Ian's age was increased and he celebrated his twenty-first birthday two years after his eighteenth. The producers felt Ian needed to be a older and more mature for storylines planned for him later that year.
SoupDragon · 13/07/2016 10:07

From memory, at the start Michelle was the same school year as me and Ian and Sharon the year below.

TBH, I don't care very much. The rest of it is somewhat less than realistic anyway :o

Jasonandyawegunorts · 13/07/2016 10:11

less than realistic anyway

Shock Are you implying it's as made up as most of the AIBU threads?

SinisterBumFacedCat · 13/07/2016 11:07

Kathy obviously has a thing for 80's sit com stars, what with Gavin
Vince and now Buster Jacko. She'll be after the guy from Dear John next.

AGnu · 13/07/2016 11:25

I suspect Paul's mum had some issues with drink/drugs/PND & Pam had decided she wasn't good enough for her precious Laurie so used her SS contacts to get Paul taken away from her. In Pam's head this became the mum not wanting him because she hadn't got her life together enough.

I love that they changed Ian's age, rather than changing the storylines!

AndYourBirdCanSing · 13/07/2016 12:06

AGnu yes I think you're right about Pam and Paul's mum.

I hope the next couple of weeks are good, I've been getting fed up of it! I've been watching it forever and don't really want to stop

AndYourBirdCanSing · 13/07/2016 12:11

Although I did stop watching Corrie and Emmerdale a couple of years ago after watching it religiously (especially Corrie) but I very much doubt I will ever watch those again. But I have always been loyal to Enders!

SoupDragon · 13/07/2016 12:13

Made up? nooooo.....

HarryPottersMagicWand · 13/07/2016 12:17

Yes I was waiting for the Jack/Richard bit. How utterly stupid that we see Sam sodding off in a taxi leaving her child behind and we don't see Jack going to return Richard or wondering where Sam is. Wasn't she supposed to be going over for tea? They would be looking for her at which point Roxy would realise that she did bugger off and inform Jack of this. We know it's not the same day as Ben stayed over at Paul's and now they are out and about the next day.

Jane coming home from the hospital is ridiculous. I get Ian wants her home but she can't even hold her head up and Ian works loads with his 3 businesses. How on earth are they going to manage!

SheHasAWildHeart · 13/07/2016 12:31

Paul's mum looks like she's from another era.

AGnu · 13/07/2016 12:36

Maybe Pam shoved her into a tear in the space-time continuum & she jumped forward 20 years! EE meets Doctor Who...

SuperFlyHigh · 13/07/2016 12:44

Just seen the 2 spoilers on Digital Spy... both of them I can't get that worked up about!

MissBattleaxe · 13/07/2016 13:19

Grin

OhTinky · 13/07/2016 14:13

Was that a new random doorway in Ian's house?! Don't know why they're so keen to have Jane back but then expect Lauren to juggle caring for Jane with caring for her baby.

Why do buster and Kathy keep kissing in broad daylight outside Phils doorway?! Ovo Kathy and buster and Sharon got over seeing Margaret plummet to her death in front of them pdq. They weren't even questioned/made a statement.

Next week sounds good, if only because it's new storylines not ongoing sagas!

LemonBreeland · 13/07/2016 15:25

I loved that they magically extended Ian's living room so that they can put up a wall and make it smaller again!

Dropping the Jack/Richard storyline is a bit strange.

SoupDragon · 13/07/2016 16:17

They haven't magically made it bigger though. It used to be two rooms - the part with the table was the living/dining room and the part with the sofa was Lou Beale's bedroom. It's been knocked through.

The wall behind Pauline with the cupboard on it has been removed.
