Not sure about it, I really don't think PG suits the role I can't get mad dogs out of my mind whenever I see him. But I think the series has potential I'm going to stick with it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/06/2016 09:13

Agree may have potential. Will try for another few episodes

Have just finished the second episode. Not too sure about it. The flashbacks of his Mum are getting a bit old plus I don't really want to keep seeing a kid being horribly abused.

Is it just going to be the demon going in to different people and Kyle "exercising" them by punching them and then dripping his blood in their mouth?

Willow2016 · 17/06/2016 10:51

I think the flash backs are necessary as there are things unfolding we need to know. LIke how the mum is 'comatose' but is starting to come out of it and we are seeing what she saw the 'demon' do to her child. (Thinking a demon killed your child would make anyone withdraw into themselves!) We saw how it started with his mum and how it ended.

And we are seeing the town as a whole as the Rev prepares for whats coming.

It may not be fast and furious but that wouldnt give us the back story and the build up to understand why people will do things/react in episodes to come.

TheDrsDocMartens · 17/06/2016 11:37

Is it anywhere else?

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/06/2016 20:35

I think the flashback are important. But agree that each time it seems to be his blood that repels/destroys the demon

Is anyone still watching? I don't think it's as good as TWD but it fills a gap! What I don't get is if Megan is Kyle's sister, why was she not there when their mum was "possessed"? If it's been explained somewhere I've missed it!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/07/2016 13:14

Been away past two weeks so catching up madly

Yah for sky + :)

Football mum, i think he was sent to the same foster home as Megan after he was rescued from his mum.

BeyondCymru · 05/07/2016 18:06

Yy Megan is his foster sister.

I have e5 to watch tonight, is that where everyone is up to?

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/07/2016 21:05

Just watching 3 now

Are they getting better then the first 2?

I've caught up and am enjoying this - not to the level of TWD or GoT but on par with say The Strain Wayward Pines etc. Philip Glenister is why mainly watch.

gingerboy1912 · 13/07/2016 18:37

Just watched episode 5 and I have to say it's growing on me.

HarlettOScara · 13/07/2016 18:55

Have only read the first few points as I haven't seen any of this yet and don't want to see spoilers.

I have recorded it and was going to start watching this evening but before I do I need to know...Is it scary? Like, if you were home alone in a very isolated house, would you watch it?

Ta Smile

gingerboy1912 · 13/07/2016 19:07

It's only scary if demons and possession themed things scare you. But no it's not a full on horror program.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/07/2016 20:39

No not scary

Amercian horror story asylum scared me more

OP posts:
HarlettOScara · 13/07/2016 21:00

Thanks. That's a good benchmark because I found AHS Asylum only moderately scary.
Which reminds me that I've never got around to watching the last series of AHS (the hotel one) so better add that to the list too...along with Fear the Walking Dead and Containment which starts tonight.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/07/2016 21:27

See that one freaked me out. Tho was watching it alone late at night

Hotel was ok

I'm still watching it but finding it boring and certainly not on a par with TWD or Fear TWD.

The plot doesn't add up. I thought the whole premise was that the demons were following Kyle (hence his Mum and his exe wife/partner also getting possessed) but it seems that Phillip Glennister's character has had to perform loads of exorcisms that had nothing to do with Kyle.

Why hasn't Philip Glennistor and the people of.the town questioned why so many people are being possessed? I mean realistically a priest would never have to do one ever.

And now it seems that he hasn't actually exorcisms any of them successfully and are all still possessed.

I will stick with it cos I have so far it I don't think it's very good at all.
