They are showing good picture of it , yes SoupDragon think gay couple go to pub no problem. Someone like Lez sitting there who obviously not pass as women bound to get a lot more grief.

Though sad Pam totally accept Paul but can't do same Lez.

MrsJayy · 10/06/2016 17:06

I don't know how I would be if it was my Dh tbh

Optimist1 · 10/06/2016 19:47

Very good point about taxis doing the full circuit of the square, Blondes ! You'd imagine that whoever's running after it (and there often is some distressed soul in hot pursuit) would have learned that instead of running round all four sides of the square they'd do better to turn round and head it off coming the other way! Grin

southeastdweller · 10/06/2016 19:55

I think the writing of Pam's reaction about Christine has been pretty realistic so far and I agree that being gay is more accepted now than cross-dressing is. Pam strikes me as someone who's old-fashioned in some ways and apart from the fact that the man she's been married to for more than forty years has been dishonest about a big part of himself, maybe she feels less of a woman somehow, and that Les wanting to cross-dress reflects on her? And perhaps there's some part of her that thanks he's abnormal so all in all I can understand why she doesn't want to talk about it and is giving into the blackmail. Babe realises all this, I think.

Hard to forget sometimes E.E is fictional Grin

I also agree that it's Ben who walked in on Les/Christine.

Heavens2Betsy · 10/06/2016 20:17

They don't waste any time - she's already ovulating!!!
It makes me feel an bit queezy. I know they aren't related but ... eewwww! Envy

BeYourselfUnlessUCanBeAUnicorn · 10/06/2016 21:21

I agree heavens. This isn't going to end well at all. I wouldn't want DH giving his sister a baby, ok they are blood related but if she had been adopted I'd feel the same. It's going to get complicated as Vincent will want to be involved with his child, Donna will need help and Kim is going to feel very pushed out.

Paul being the one to catch Les was a bit of an anticlimax tbh.

BlueThursday · 10/06/2016 22:18

I haven't seen tonight's but I've been thinking about last nights.

Kim was initially looking for Denise to talk about the situation, but because she was in Stratford (or streatham) she couldn't speak with her. So she phoned claudette to come later on.

Why couldn't she call Denise?

AndYourBirdCanSing · 10/06/2016 22:33

I really think Donna is being selfish. She knows how big a deal it is and how Kim feels, yet has basically guilt tripped Vincent into it. She was saying how she trusted Kush, but now Vincent is the only man she has ever trusted Hmm Vincent is putting her feelings before his wife's and mother of his child- he needs to get his priorities straight.

MagpieCursedTea · 10/06/2016 23:29

I thought the scene at the end with Ian and Jane was really sweet, made me quite emotional!
Steven and Lauren didn't last long though did they? Won't be long until they're back on though I bet.
As far Vincent and Donna, as others have said, I know they're not related but still... My Dad has adopted sisters so maybe that's skewing my view a little but the whole thing makes me cringe.

EveryCloudhasl · 11/06/2016 00:19

WHAT THE HELL ARE DONNA AND VINCENT DOING?! Eewww no no no. So incestual even if they're not blood related. And tbh I just don't like eastenders doing this it makes it sound like adoptive siblings aren't as important..they are still brother and sister adopted or not!

VashtaNerada · 11/06/2016 00:28

Yes, it properly freaked me out tonight. I don't have any brothers but I'm pretty sure asking your brother to wank into a cup in your bathroom and then putting it INSIDE YOURSELF is wrong wrong wrong. (Love how open-minded I am about Les but completely closed-minded on this one!!)

SoupDragon · 11/06/2016 08:52

I was convinced Vincent wouldn't be able to perform.

MagpieCursedTea · 11/06/2016 09:20

Every I think you've got a very good point there!

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/06/2016 11:05

optimist excatly. Run the other way round

I hoped Vincent couldn't get it up

Also hope it fails for KIMS sake

Tho would that be a first in soap history to have a siblings baby

MissBattleaxe · 11/06/2016 11:06

The bit where Vincent was reading the instructions about "raise your legs and insert" made me wince. They may not be blood related, but that's still a brother/sister relationship and it felt so wrong.

I have a brother and I would rather eat cat sick than tell him I was ovulating and please wank in a cup for me. Ugh!

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 11/06/2016 11:09

I haven't seen last night's ep yet and judging by some of the comments on here, I don't think I can bear to

I wonder who at EE HQ thought that this storyline was going to be a good idea? Confused

southeastdweller · 11/06/2016 12:13

There's no episode on Monday because of football so the next one is on Tuesday.

AGnu · 11/06/2016 13:05

Sharon & Dennis had the same legal relationship. Technically, they were siblings & had a baby together, the non-turkey baster way! The only difference was that they didn't grow up together.

Personally, I think it would be just as weird for completely platonic close friends to be discussing her sticking her legs up so he could get a better view! I can imagine my male friends would be jumping out of the window just as quickly as my brother if I asked them to peer between my legs! It is ridiculous that she's insisting he's the only man she wants to father her child when she's blatantly just asking whoever happens to be in the room until someone agrees! If it doesn't work, maybe she'll ask Ian next, or maybe Jack, they both seem to be rather fertile! I didn't understand quite why he was happy to give her his sperm but not happy to bring her the pot or keep it warm for a few minutes. Surely he could've brought it to her while she was sitting on the bed & left the room while she DTD! I have no experience of DIY insemination though...

MissBattleaxe · 11/06/2016 13:10

I think it's a very big difference that Sharon and Dennis didn't grow up together. They were strangers when they met as adults.

MrsJayy · 11/06/2016 13:14

Sharon and Dennis were not brought up together it isnt quite so ikky Donna brought out the im Lonely card a few tears and vincent felt sorry for her so manipulative and selfish

AGnu · 11/06/2016 13:30

They knew they were siblings when they started their relationship though. It wouldn't be ok for biologically related half siblings who only found out about each other as adults to be in a relationship. Donna & Vincent aren't even wanting to start a relationship. My main objection to the concept of anonymous sperm donation is that siblings could have DC without knowing they're related. It'd be gross if they were having sex or if he was doing the inseminating but I'm choosing to believe that he left her to it & she did it herself. I don't need the mental image of him assisting! I could come to terms with DBro providing a sample for our foster sister, I couldn't accept them as a couple - I seem to remember Den & most of the square feeling the same about Sharon & Dennis but then 5 minutes later it was totally normal.

SoupDragon · 11/06/2016 14:16

vincent and Donna didn't grow together as such - didn't they say the other night that he was 18 when she arrived?

SoupDragon · 11/06/2016 14:18

It wouldn't be ok for biologically related half siblings who only found out about each other as adults to be in a relationship.

Of course not because they are biologically related. Sharon and Dennis were no different to 2 random strangers.

Heavens2Betsy · 11/06/2016 14:23

I think I feel icky because I have stepbrothers who I met in my teens.

I'm in my 40s now and to me they are my brothers. That is how I have related to Vincent and Donnas relationship- brother and sister. So to me it all feels a by incestuous. Biological or not. It's just ... Yuk!!!
But I may be projecting - and of course it's not true Grin

EnidButton · 11/06/2016 15:28

It's just sperm though. It's not like they're having sex with each other. He's just a donor. I don't get what's so repulsive to everyone tbh.

I understand why Kim feels weird about it and don't blame her for objecting, her DH will have a baby with someone else and they'll see the baby every day.

But the fact Donna is his adoptive sister doesn't come into it for me.
