It seems to happen a lot with soap characters. I think the writers sometimes go in different direction with their character development and hope that we don't really notice.

SoupDragon · 10/06/2016 08:26

I spotted Claudette in New Blood last night. That might explain her sporadic appearances.

Or it might just have been the actor...

unimagmative13 · 10/06/2016 08:54

I love Kim and Vincent they seem really genuine it's a bit of a crap storyline to hit their relationship

unimagmative13 · 10/06/2016 08:55

Also Pam woke up at the noise!

I would say all three of them are standing at the door

MrsJayy · 10/06/2016 09:00

I think it's Ben and he is going to be very understanding and go all Mitchell on Babe

MrsJayy · 10/06/2016 09:01

I like Vincent since he stopped mooning over Ronnie he has settled in

SheHasAWildHeart · 10/06/2016 09:16

I think it's Ben and he is going to be very understanding and go all Mitchell on Babe
Would love this. Ben already has issues with Babe because of her involvement in the whole Abi/baby stuff.

SoupDragon · 10/06/2016 09:17

This storyline has shown Kim in a different light though - its stripped her loud, confident exterior away and shown her to be vulnerable.

I cant decide who opens the door on Christine. It could be all 3. I think its unlikely to be just Pam though.

AndYourBirdCanSing · 10/06/2016 09:21

Yes I don't think it's just Pam- Ben will be there either way, I think. Les' face said it all really when Pam was telling Paul it's his house and he can be himself in it.

MrsJayy · 10/06/2016 09:32

Pam and Ben make sense because it's another person knowing and they treat Ben and Paul normal so Ben is going to go all Mitchell on her Grin

SoupDragon · 10/06/2016 09:35

I don't think Ben would have got up without Paul following. Ben was Wall Side on the bed and would have had to climb over Paul. It must be all three because Paul would get up in his own home wouldn't he?

VashtaNerada · 10/06/2016 11:02

Or it could be Billy? Turning up to work for some reason?

The whole Donna / Vincent thing is stupid. I just don't believe she would want her brother to father her baby. It makes no sense!

VashtaNerada · 10/06/2016 11:03

Oh and I loved having Christine back albeit briefly!

Optimist1 · 10/06/2016 11:22

Can't remember the exact words, but Pam said something along the lines of "It's your home; of course you must feel free to be to be yourself" to Paul when she was welcoming Ben to his sleepover. I hope that someone will think to ask her to apply the same compassion to poor old Les and convince the both of them to stop paying Babe .

VashtaNerada · 10/06/2016 12:25

Pam's an odd fish. In some ways she's lovely but I really don't like the way she is with Les. I know Christine must be one hell of a shock, but I'd expect her to start being a bit more understanding by now. Les has been very patient and considerate about it really.

BeYourselfUnlessUCanBeAUnicorn · 10/06/2016 12:31

I'm so hoping Ben will go Mitchell on Babe! She deserves it for this and what she did to him and Abi.

I think Ben will be there. Les looked very suprised in a scared way, it has to be someone who doesn't know. Billy is a good shout, breaking mirror waking them up could be a red herring.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 10/06/2016 12:40

Patrick: "Oh Claudette, you're still alive then?"
Claudette; "Yes, but me and Vincent aren't talking."
Patrick: "Oh, i see, Why?"
Claudette: "I don't know."

AndYourBirdCanSing · 10/06/2016 13:31

It is a tricky one with Pam and Led. He did lie to her throughout their marriage, and went off on those holidays as Christine with Claudette. I would find that alone very difficult to overcome.

VashtaNerada · 10/06/2016 13:34

That's true Bird - but you'd hope they'd at least discuss it and his reasons for the betrayal. And it is understandable that he'd be scared to tell her the truth all those years.

Good point about Patrick! He was in a right state when she 'died'.

MrsJayy · 10/06/2016 13:48

I think. Pam understand s her contradiction though she knows she should be tolerantly jolly about it but she is mortified by it all

hippiedays · 10/06/2016 14:12

Well I can't see how Pam is suppose to accept her husband is cross dressing, either now or in a years time!

I thought Les started cross dressing and turned to Claudette after their son died and Pam closed herself off? Pam should not have gone back but only did so as Les said he would never do it again and they burned the personal belongings. Les wants both his marriage and cross dressing, he has to choose one or the other. It is not Pam's 'issue' as she left knowing she couldn't accept it.

If it was Ben who walked in (with Paul presumably), would they automatically tell about Babe. Nothing is that straightforward in EE. Surely there has to be either half an explanation or none at all, just high emotions and a lot of crying and surmising. They rarely actually have a full conversation before someone walks off in the middle of it.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 10/06/2016 14:19

I think he has cross dressed since he was a teenager (Or wanted to?), but he created Cristine when his son died as an escapist personality.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/06/2016 14:38

I loved max circling the square in a taxi

They always go round the whole square 😂😂

VashtaNerada · 10/06/2016 15:17

Perhaps Pam's reaction isn't that unrealistic then! I honestly don't think I'd mind, but I suppose everyone's different.

SoupDragon · 10/06/2016 16:41

Isn't being gay tolerated more than cross dressing even ngow? That is my perception.
