I was also thinking the same about Kellie's husband looking younger than her. I would never have guessed he was 44.

MagpieCursedTea · 25/05/2016 21:21

I called him the young policeman. Is he really 44? He's 11 years older than me! I thought he was in his 20s. I may dislike him even more now Wink
He just made me think of a CBeebies presenter, he has the same mannerisms and tone of voice.

AndYourBirdCanSing · 25/05/2016 21:34

I'm 31 and didn't think he was any older than me

AGnu · 25/05/2016 22:05

He treated Bobby like I'd expect them to treat an 8yo who'd witnessed their mum being attacked. Bobby is regularly treated as if he's about 8, no wonder he lashes out!

unimagmative13 · 25/05/2016 22:20

Didn't the juror try to screw Phil over tho?

unimagmative13 · 25/05/2016 22:24

Ben is arrested on suspicion of killing Lucy. Phil suspects he did and practically disowns him, handing in critical evidence to the police. However, Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) tells Phil that she thinks her father, Max, killed Lucy, so Phil punches Max and hopes Ben will be released. Phil finds out that his wife Sharon has been helping friend Jane cover up the real killer Bobby Beale (Eliot Carrington), Lucy's half-brother, Phil tells Jane and Sharon that he will bribe the foreman of the jury to make sure Max is not guilty. The jury find Max guilty and it emerges that Phil paid the foreman for this verdict. Sharon discovers this and kicks him out of their home. He then discovers that Ben is in a sexual relationship with Paul Coker(Jonny Labey) and is kidnapped by Kathy's husband Gavin. Weeks later, the police find Phil's blood in Gavin's sister's home. A week later, Phil returns home, battered and bruised. He collapses and is taken to hospital, where they discover he has several broken bones from two days before. He then asks Ben for alcohol, revealing he has been drinking during his kidnapping.

I know it is so wrong but I felt a bit sorry for Bobby tonight, I think it's because the actor is pretty good with his facial expressions for emotion. He seemed so bewildered that people were cross because he had told the truth. Made me gulp when he was speaking to Jane.

BeYourselfUnlessUCanBeAUnicorn · 26/05/2016 20:29

I did too. It really pissed me off when Jane's mum was having a go at Ian. He wasn't even there when Bobby twatted her around the head, hardly his fault! Jane would also want him there. Sharon was also annoying! Fuck off and leave Stacey alone!

Urgh I want to smash Babe's face in! She's so vile. Why didn't Pam just keep the laptop and walk out with it.

Optimist1 · 26/05/2016 20:30

I agree it was very poignant when Bobby said he was so conflicted and couldn't think what to do except to tell the truth. It is what we parents drum into our kids from a very early age, isn't it? And the adults around him have been giving him a terrible example by their lies, subterfuges, allowing Max to take the blame, etc etc.

RainbowCake · 26/05/2016 21:05

That is part of it I suppose, I was always told and I've also said to my kids "you make it worse when you lie"
Pleased to see Christian back.

Sharon irritates the life out of me, she is very ineffictive and whiney. I did wonder if Denny was going to Bobby her with a barstool Grin

Youfromthefuture · 26/05/2016 21:23

Who was Kathy on the phone to? Is some other character making a return? She said 'Ian needs you here'.

Optimist1 · 26/05/2016 21:28

It was disappointing to see Gavin back in contact with Denny - I suppose he'll be muddying the waters tomorrow?

BeYourselfUnlessUCanBeAUnicorn · 26/05/2016 21:28

Yes you. I've a pretty good idea who but won't say as it's probably a spoiler.

Optimist1 · 26/05/2016 21:28

Do you think Cathy might have been on the phone to Peter?

unimagmative13 · 26/05/2016 21:30

Not Peter

Youfromthefuture · 26/05/2016 21:40

Peter is too successful in the U.S. to come back now!! Grin

Will it be tomorrow or will I have to wait to next week?!

hippiedays · 26/05/2016 21:45

Ben is irritating me so much. Why do the Mitchells always wear little jackets? Not coats, blazers, or even jumpers, just those little zip up jackets schoolboys wear.

I wonder who Kathy was phoning. it has to be somebody who was in it years ago as she wouldn't have anybody's phone number being dead for so long Mark? Michelle? But why would Ian suddenly need somebody who has probably never even met Jane?

unimagmative13 · 26/05/2016 22:29

It has been publicised who returning.

There been no talk of Ian notifying other people not in the square about Kathy coming back, so it seem really casual that they would just ring this person up and speak to them.

southeastdweller · 26/05/2016 22:36

How would Kathy even have this person's number? This person who returns on Monday.

NoahVale · 26/05/2016 22:41

they always have numbers, always, even if they have been away for aaages.

i thought it was phil she was talking to.
perhaps not

NoahVale · 26/05/2016 22:42

i cant believe how Bobby would get bail, and would be allowed home, surely he would be carted off to foster parents?

MagpieCursedTea · 26/05/2016 22:49

I was wondering that too, it seems weird that they would send Bobby off with Ian to see Jane.

BlueThursday · 26/05/2016 22:56

"Hi, it's Kathy, I'm not dead; can you pop over please"

SheHasAWildHeart · 26/05/2016 23:31

Bobby also seems to be the only one who recognises that's he's not well and needs help.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 26/05/2016 23:39

I'm pretty sure Jane is NC with her mum so not sure why she was in there ordering everyone out of the room. Did she say Jane would never walk again?

The Cokers could always bury Babe.
