Poor Tracey didn't even get a line when she was reunited with Peggy in the Vic. Peggy must have been her employer for years, yet when Peggy said 'Tracey darlin' or whatever, Tracey gave a quick smile, shrugged her shoulders and ran off.

Peggy's letter to Phil was really touching. It was so lovely to see a really close, loving adult son and mother relationship to the end.

'To the end'....,,,.,,ahem......,do you mean at the end? At one point, he tried to burn down her home and livelihood!

I thought the last few episodes with Peggy were really touching, when she goes outside in her dressing gown and sees the blackbird and remarks on it singing to Sharon that's very touching and also the Pat scenes, the pub scenes though repetitive did ring true and she did seem to act as though she was in pain.

It was a bit strange how they couldn't even do a split second shot of her dead, it's not a terrible thing to see. Phil making the cocoa was very touching and his acting throughout is outstanding not surprised he's classically trained unlike Grant who did seem very wooden!

Pity Sam couldn't be there.

Ross Kemp is also classically trained. I think he didn't have much opportunity to show that recently. I think his script said " Get off plane in bad mood. Demand money. Go home."

I vividly remember the original Peggy back in 1991 and agree with Symphon and Brecon that she was more realistic. Dame Babs had some great moments over the years and Peggy was an important character, but her Peggy mostly felt a bit cartoony and caricatured to me.
