artlessflirt · 06/04/2016 22:00

The cat isn't called Charlie!!!

But it's still unresolved so what was the point??

ColdTeaAgain · 06/04/2016 22:00

And here endeth the lesson in how not to deal with suspected child abuse.

WitchyPoos · 06/04/2016 22:00

Oh ffs..... Cat is jasper.... So Charlie the kid? Where is he? So many unanswered questions Angry

Jitterybug · 06/04/2016 22:01

Fucks sake

Luckystar1 · 06/04/2016 22:01

Awk ffs! Can't believe that was the end. Jesus Christ of almighty. I stayed up for that (rock and roll lifestyle)

StuffandBother · 06/04/2016 22:01

Well that's an hour of my life wasted! Pathetic Channel 4

Afreshstartplease · 06/04/2016 22:01

Random

2016ismyyear · 06/04/2016 22:01

what a waste of an hour?!!

apple1992 · 06/04/2016 22:02

Messages about the scale of secret child abuse?

SuperFlyHigh · 06/04/2016 22:02

Not that great. Was wondering if the other couple were just nosy and over sensitive eg hearing things...

ColdTeaAgain · 06/04/2016 22:02

She was 100% right but her weird way of dealing with it gave the parents the chance to cover their tracks. And the little boy slips through the net. That was the point.

DelphiBlue · 06/04/2016 22:02

Well that was distressing

unhingeddoor · 06/04/2016 22:02

I started watching but turned over as I hated the way it was filmed.

What was the ending then?

apple1992 · 06/04/2016 22:03

ColdTea I agree

SuperFlyHigh · 06/04/2016 22:03

But how Cold did you get child abuse from that?

calamityjam · 06/04/2016 22:04

I needed a more conclusive ending than that

RudeElf · 06/04/2016 22:05

Wtaf??

Was that supposed to be a supernatural thriller or what? What was it supposed to be? Why no answer?

Very uncomfortable viewing. And yes they were fucking insane to go in that house.

I dont get the point of the programme though.

Notgivingin789 · 06/04/2016 22:05

What about the bloody sheet? Did the police have a look at that?

ColdTeaAgain · 06/04/2016 22:07

She did not imagine that little boy or the crying.

The little girl was acting out abuse on her bother and the teddy. Classic warning signs.

apple1992 · 06/04/2016 22:07

SuperFly There was another child living there that was never seen. The locked room. Child heard through wall when parents out. Suggests neglect.

Plus the child mimicking adult (made me think of NSPCC 'the shit kids say' advert: doing the 'telling off', adult language being repeated.

Not wanting the kids in 'dad's cupboard' made me wonder what was in there. Rubbish out late at night. Alcohol issues? That isn't child abuse but with other factors it would be a concern.

ColdTeaAgain · 06/04/2016 22:09

Bins would been collected ages by then, I think the point was this had been going on over weeks and weeks. Plus the police found no reason to lead them to search the bins.

NotSleepyAtAll · 06/04/2016 22:11

We can conclude that Charlie is locked in the back bedroom and they can hear him cry.

They should have called the police every time they heard a domestic disturbance, especially when they could hear crying but knew the family were out. Why did they take matters into their own hands?!

NotSleepyAtAll · 06/04/2016 22:15

They should've put a ladder up to the back bedroom window as Plan A before going in the house which was just plain stupid.

RudeElf · 06/04/2016 22:15

Exactly. Police would have been able to get into the house and discover the child straight away. They shot themselves right in the foot by sneaking in.

Clawdy · 06/04/2016 22:15

But the police woman said they had searched the house.
