I think perosnally if anyone under 16 sent those kind of photos to me I'd go straight to the police.

I'd want them to look through the phone / message and see it was an unpromted act.

WildHeart, that's exactly what I was wondering about unsolicited images. EastEnders clearly isn't the finest guide to the law, but it's a scary prospect nonetheless.

I think Jay was encouraging her to send the photos, not as in pressuring her but saying he liked them etc. So the messages would show that he replied/interacted with her. If Star was just sending photos and he didn't reply and reported them I think it would be different.

I think the problem has come about because Star's mother wants to be seen to be caring about her daughter rather than actually caring. If she actually cared, she would have had a long heart to heart with her daughter rather than turning up in the Vic with her bully boys whilst her daughter looked absolutely distraught about what her mother was doing.

Magpie why would he have deleted and reported the messages when he was unaware she was underage?

We know he wouldn't have entertained a relationship if he had been aware from his reaction when Louise tried to kiss him.

I think you've hit the nail on the head Soup. No one has asked Star how she feels, the mum has taken what's happened and ran with it in a bid to look like a good mum.

What's annoying me is everyone labelling Jay a paedophile when actually a paedophile is someone who attracted to pre pubescent children, someone who attracted to teens who are underage have a different definition (which I just looked up and can't remember).

Louise only knew on her first day at school when she had the fight with Star so pretty much at the same time as Jay.

Don't think so. I'd imagine if she ever got a bigger role they would magic her an apartment somewhere on the square.
