it was a typo, unbelievably.

i also LOVED Douglas addams and in particular the meaning of Liff, which still makes me laff when i think of it.

Used to get very frustrated by drunken PE students misquoting Monty Python.
I was very annoying!

Saturn74 · 06/01/2007 00:11

DS1 has just fallen asleep listening to 'The Restaurant at the End of the Universe' on his MP3.

AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 06/01/2007 00:12

was mostly over MP by second year. after attending a video lab screening in the engineering dept of the holy grail.

oh i'm so very proud of him.
never got on with dirk gently's holistic detective agency, though.

DH thinks it's great, but I've never read it.
Did you think Harry Enfield was always a bit crap, and were you delighted when Charlie Higson and Paul Whitehouse became more famous than him?
Or am I just a jealous, vindictive old trout?
And were you jealous of Josie Lawrence, working with all those hilarious men?
Again, probably just me....?

AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 06/01/2007 00:18

i've met Josie, she is a bona fide nut. and yes i was jealous.

i was so not in love with enfield that i was thrilled when his dad briefly became more famous than him!

I'm glad she's slightly crazed - she always seemed very lovely.
Now then, do you know the whereabouts of Mike McShane, and is Jeremy Hardy still married to Kit Hollerbach, because my Mum used to fancy him?!

AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 06/01/2007 00:27

bizarrely, i have also met mike mcshane. he and josie worked with a pal of mine. he is a Shadow of his former self. honestly, i'd say he weighs about 14 stone now and he's a tall lad.
i fancied JH in my time so deeply resented the hollerbach on At Home WIth The Hardys... bitch.

and she's not just slightly crazed. she's cracked.

at meeting witty slebs.

AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 06/01/2007 00:32

not that witty, tbh. friendly, yes, but they save up their jokes for the stage. i never found josie funny, really, she really used to get on my tits when she sang.

Hey ho.
Must heave my aged carcass off to bed - hopefully to dream of alternative comedians and feel young and vaguely fashionable again!

AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 06/01/2007 00:39
