Have I totally missed the point??

DH and I watched about 30 minutes of this last night and were domfounded by how racist and close to the mark some of the humour was.

An Irish bloke going on about Muslims taking the heat of the Irish.

Chevy Chase and Seth Green doing a sketch about Guantanamo Bay.

And some Americn Comediene (in the loosest sense of the word) going on about her dead granny being exhumed for rape tests!!

I did hope to catch The Mighty Boosh but as it was getting late and it was'nt the funniest show I had seen I gave up waiting.

The show was in aid of Amnesty International. So I cannot understand the nature of these jokes, in fact some were not funny enough to be classed as jokes - have I missed the point.

I'm so sorry you caught the worst 1/2 hour. DH & I had already been watching so we carried on until it got better. The Americans were BAD!

But.... Russell Brand made me laugh, a first for him. The Mighty Boosh and Eddie Izzard were good. The David Armand & Natalie Imbruglia mime to Torn was the best thing I'd seen all year.

If it's repeated, give it another chance.

Thanks, good to know it was'nt al so bad. After the Big Fat Quiz of the The Year 2006, I do se russell Brand in a differnt light, and Eddie izzard has always made me laugh - so I will look out for a repeat.
