Battle round rules (for those unfamiliar) are- each judge pars up two of their acts. You can tell from the pairings who they prefer. And the song choice. The pairs then shout over each other, and the judges have to ditch one of their own acts. This act is then available to be stolen by another judge. There is an awkward tumbleweed silence when no-one chooses to steal.

So- it's on at 7pm, and I am sure it's on tomorrow (but don't quote me).

I was having breakfast in a greasy spoon with dh ( don't ask) and the only reading options were thursdays Sun- or todays Sun! ( We go to all the best places) Headline news, Liam from One D and Cheryl (i thought really? dh sighed and said 'he has done well' , men eh!) and Lorraine Kelly seemed to hint that Dermot will get the x factor gig back.. Yay. I wonder if they bother though now they have bought the Voice for next season.

80s I was especially mardy on the Brits thread but it was truly dire this year, how can all those performances from world class artists have been so bad? And I'm not fussed about the direction Rhianna is taking.

As to The Voice Love Will Tear Us Apart particularly strikes me as a poor song choice and difficult to do unless they sing it up an octave and whack some of the Mariah singing stuff into it. But I love Joy Division so I'm probably very biased.

Do they understand each other?Chezza and Liam? (and they don't go together, do they? Liarl??Cham?) The fact she didn't speak her husband's language was cited as on reason they split. So, definitely not a marriage based purely on looks) then?

thered- the Brits were dire. Such a dull opening act, really poor live performances all around. And Ant and Dec were embarrassing. I'm glad Adele was sweary, it livened things up a bit. Ri-Ri was definitely miming too.

Hi, the Brits was a bit of a mess really, agreed.
