And how about Melissa's confidence? . At the start of the series, she was so beaten down it was sad to watch.

I've watched two programmes (currently watching it on 5 Star - not sure what series). In both episodes, girls have cried and look generally miserable, and the moms look really competitive. The teacher looks fierce. Unless it produces top class dancers, then why do people go there? (Apart from to coverage and they want fame). It is slightly compelling though.

That's the culture of American stardom. Parents will do anything to get their children on Broadway and Hollywood.
The competition is crazy- this is nothing compared to figure skating- it's surreal.

I'm watching on 5* too, Abby is really tough on those girls.
