Just wondering if anyone might have any TV recommendations? I haven't really enjoyed anything since I finished The Killing (Danish version).

I'd like something bleak and intriguing, preferably crime drama/thriller or gritty at least. Also like a good documentary but have watched a lot of the crime ones.

As well as the Killing I really liked the Bridge, the Returned, Top of the Lake, Hinterland, True Detective (season 1, haven't seen 2). I tried a few episodes of Luther recently but found it too fast paced and a bit silly, though it was ok I don't think I'll carry on.

I was thinking the Fall, Spiral, Borgen, Those Who Kill if they are any good?

I miss Sarah Lund... and Borch (swoon).

Enjoying Orphan Black here, and like the same sort of stuff as you. It's sillier than The Killing though! The Bridge (especially last series) is my favourite TV ever.

Agree with pp that The Bridge, Borgen brilliant. 1864 is really good too and interesting history.
I have read that there is a new drama/thriller called 'Trapped' set in Iceland starting this Saturday on BBC 4 .
