I see it's on Fox tonight: S6 E7
Is that us back from the mid season break, or is it a repeat of what we were watching before xmas?
(oh the waiting......)

For some reason the very end scene wasnt on my download, so just watched it now. Jesus is indeed Actual Jesus. Perhaps that is the direction they are going in? Grin

I thought the same, my DD would've screamed the place down. She wouldn't survive two minutes in Zombie world...

They've probably trained her to keep quiet when they say certain words and reward her when she doesn't cry.

I read a book called Bird Box by Josh Malderman, (good book) where the mother had to do a similar thing - train her children to remain silent at times in a dangerous world.

iwuddarryl · 25/02/2016 11:01

Above comment refers to Judith not making a sound when covered by a meat blanket.

MargotLovedTom · 25/02/2016 11:09

But she's been like that since she was a tiny baby.

BreakingDad I mentioned that upthread - how did they get away with Sam saying "Mom" loud and clear two seconds after they stepped out of house?

iwuddarryl · 25/02/2016 11:13

I think the next episode backtracked to before he said 'Mom' Confused
The timings seemed a bit 'out' in that episode.

Maybe Jessie did the old mum thing of squeezing his hand to signal him to shut up!Grin

limitedperiodonly · 25/02/2016 12:43

She should have done that look that says: 'You're showing me up.'

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/02/2016 13:33

Maybe Jesus will save them

Got to end eventually

Either they all die or there's a cure

BreakingDad77 · 25/02/2016 13:43

How much time is supposed to have passed between these episodes as Rick seems to have moved on quite quickly to Michoone after hacking exes arm off.

CauliflowerBalti · 25/02/2016 13:44

2 months, BreakingDad77 - the actress who plays Michonne was on The Talking Dead afterwards and told us.

Irritating blonde isn't even cold...

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 25/02/2016 13:45

A few weeks I think, someone said something about rebuilding for that length of time.

BreakingDad77 · 25/02/2016 13:50

Im wondering if by next season Kaaaarl will be pushing himself along in a soapbox on wheels, after surviving yet another near fatality.

Still a bit hmmmmm about the magic bullet that just got his eye and nothing else.

As an aside is there a plan for a set number of series?

Bluecarrot · 25/02/2016 13:54

Just nipping on to ask how gory/scary this is? My 13yrnold wants to watch it as many of her school friends do (I know 1 def does but she's watched scary things since she was tiny!)
She has seen fighting and a bit of gore in hobbit/lotr movies. Non idea if they are even remotely comparable? But I'm a big wimp and pregnancy hormones giving me vivid nightmares so not a good combo for me to watch it to check it out!

CauliflowerBalti · 25/02/2016 13:59

It's very gory, Bluecarrot. You see bodies ripped apart and entrails taken out, the zombies themselves are gory regardless of whether they're inflicting violence.

But somehow it isn't scary. The gore, anyway. I think it's so over the top, somehow, that it doesn't feel real.

The tension... The waiting for something to happen... At times, that is very scary. And there's lots of shooting and fighting.

I think it depends on your child. I'd probably let my 13-year old watch it once with me, to see. He's 7 now though and gets freaked out easily. A definite no, even though some of his friends watch it.

CauliflowerBalti · 25/02/2016 14:01

A thing I don't understand - they were in their meat blankets, walking through Alexandria in daylight.

And then they were in their meat blankets, walking through Alexandria at night. Seemingly having got nowhere.

Alexandria is NOT that big.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 25/02/2016 14:39

Someone on one of the many, many Facebook threads about TWD said that she let her 6 and 8 year old watch it.

Shock

I so wanted to say something but I wimped out.

limitedperiodonly · 25/02/2016 14:50

I know someone who allowed her 6 and 8 year olds to watch Terminator 2 on the grounds that Arnie had been re-programmed to protect humans so it had a valuable anti-bullying message Confused

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 25/02/2016 15:15

My 6 and 9 year olds would be crying and having nightmares if they saw anything like that. Good lord.

On a sunnier note, one of my Facebook friends went to the Convention in London and met Daryl and Carol and had her picture taken with them. She actually has a picture of herself with Norman Reedus's arm round her. Shock Envy

Thanks for the feedback. I'll get dp to watch it with her and he can decide if it's too much!

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 25/02/2016 22:12

BlueCarrot 100% no... I have a 14 year old neice who is very grown up and she was terrified. It's rated 18 for a reason....

Think I'll tell her if it's too much for me to face, I'll be discouraging it til she can afford her own therapist ;)
Plenty of other stuff to watch!

Angelto5 · 26/02/2016 06:35

Does anyone still think carol & daryl could get together romantically?
