Ha ha, that was so silly! Loads of in-jokes. Loved seeing the stoners again! And references to Queegqueg and her immortality. And the Kim Manners grave. And the speedos!! And the Scully fantasy sex scene
The whole idea of the episode was just brilliant (if, perhaps, a little over-silly).

It was both awful and brilliant at the same time.

both were really good sports. I didn't stop smiling the whole time.

It was wonderful! Ridiculously funny and so touching all at once. Very, very Clyde Bruckman-esque. Had me welling up a bit tbh.

I just wish Scully had been sitting on that bed eating a cream cheese bagel and drinking iced tea. And that they'd gotten to use the NY Knicks tshirt for her to wear.

Yes that would have been perfect Everyone's talking about how many in-jokes there were but there could have been so many more! Have we seen any sunflower seeds yet? There was also an opportunity for some Syzgy jokes too "no I don't see the horns right there" or it would have been lovely for her to say "Sure. Fine. Whatever."
The immortality line was a bit weird though, for something potentially so momentous! Would she really joke about it? Or maybe, seeing as she's clearly ageing, we can put that theory to one side now. I'm not sure.

I loved the line "in a place like this you expect the landlord to be a peeping tom"

yes the immortal thing was a bit weird but I loved the actual reference to it

I thought of Syzygy too, I swear one of them said 'horned' the same way!

The immortality line was a bit jarring, but I think by that point the whole thing was so meta upon meta that they just put it in anyway.

I got confused about Scully's poster. I remember the first one burning in the fire, then in Chinga Scully asks Mulder where he got it from because she wants to buy one for the police officer, but I don't remember where the new one came from.

Be careful on Twitter today if you're avoiding spoilers!! I'm fine with promo pics and speculation, but last night I got majorly spoiled about a significant plot point by someone who really should know better. Proceed with caution!

They must've done a big Amazon bulk buy of posters, because Doggett took the last one (Scully might've given it to him?). I think Scully just likes it now.

Minor quibble is I wish GA had downplayed her inflection in that line; she really emphasises the my poster, I just wish she'd just said it naturally without the emphasis, it would've been beautifully subtle.

Although why I am criticising Gillian Anderson I don't know. Far be it from me the criticise an immortal goddess

Place marking for episode 4, as I have just found this thread.

I found it so, so sad. But brilliant!

Feeling a bit pissed off at episode 5. The start felt like you were meant to think he was a terrorist but they were going to subvert your prejudice and he was actually doing something completely unrelated. But no, just more stereotypes about Muslims and terrorism. Couldn't they have made him another bloody religion? Just seemed so unhelpful really. And the Gunmen were a bit of a letdown! They didn't even speak!
Liked the last scene though, that was sweet.

I don't know, I cant help but feel that they are having too much fun with the reunion and associated 'in-jokes' (red speedos anyone ), at the expense of, you know, plots and writing? But I'm still watching!
