I guess they want newbies to see what it's all about straight away rather than spending too much time explaining what's gone on. but yes it's an kiting when we know she gave up a career blah blah blah.

I've only seen the first ep - did we ever find out what happened to Dogget and Reyes? I liked those two.
Not quite convinced we're back to the good old days yet, I need to watch more I think.
As for how I got into the X files - I'd have watched David Duchovny painting a shed when he was young and hot - I saw one trailer with him in it and decided to have a watch

Did you see GA's tweet earlier? She mentioned the speedo! Yes, he was gorgeous when he was younger. GA generally gets prettier but I'm not sure about Scully's hair in s10.

She sounded weird too....

I'm expecting her hair to sort itself out. they always do that to her. she had some dodgy hair

Yes, her voice is wrong at first but sounds right in episode 3 weirdly. GA did say that it took her a while to get into character but I didn't realise it would be quite so obvious!

I guess all those roles requiring different accents lead to sone confusion

My friend works at a university and a while ago on some student showcase night she got chatting to one of the mums there. She offered to find her a seat up the front and couldn't understand why said mum was quite insistent that she stay at the back. It was only later when she asked her colleagues why they wee sniggering that they told her she'd been chatting to Gillian Anderson...
