The detective woman's botoxed/ juvedermed or whatever it is they pump into their faces, top lip was extremely distracting. She looked like she had a permanent duck face.

I've got a question as been catching up with this series - in Life Licence, why was Bennet in prison at the end? Do I assume he was convicted of those murders? Or maybe it was just for evading capture when on licence?

What is quite bizarre is the concept that the police have so much money to spend on forensics. Whenever they get involved in a case it seems to require the full time attention of every member of the company; I have no idea what private forensic firms charge, but I suspect it's at least £100 per person per hour. So why on earth would the police, who have increasingly tight budgets, cough up that sort of money routinely just for the luxury of having a pathologist watching a police interview or accompanying them to see a witness who is giving evidence about something which has little or nothing to do with forensics?

Given Nikki's wardrobe and flat, she either has a private income and does pathology for fun, or is extremely well paid.

Grunted but if they don't have forensics then they will have to solve their crimes themselves. This was they get their money's worth out of the forensics, who seem to do everything for the police.

Great series though it was somewhat disconcerting to have Laura , the pathologist from Lewis, on the other side of the fence !

Ooh I really liked/hated the ones about the killer who burned people-there was a child in the garage and the mum in the bed and the one about the teenage girls and Asian taxi drivers. There were scenes in both those that will haunt me forever-neither involving whatshername!

Helen I agree - you'd think she'd be really good at covering her tracks! She was doing a different accent to try to hide but we saw through it.
