Why does she irritate me so much, I quite like her food but she's so smug and all that vacant or knowing stares are just so unnecessary.

And all her simpering guffawing dinner guests.

Is it just me?

And she's lost so much weight I don't believe she eats any of it.

I've finished now Xmas Grin

Love nigella but stand by my earlier comments. She looks amazing although her hair does need a really good conditioning treatment and she needs to fuck off with all that cinnamon and smoked sea salt all over everything she makes. The food this series looks rank and yes yes yes to there never being enough.

batshitlady · 18/12/2015 08:43

Fat and/or thin, she gets right on my tits. I wish she'd piss off and let a talented, new face 'catch a break', as they say!

squoosh · 18/12/2015 08:46

Easier to just switch the channel than to let yourself get so irritated by her. I doubt she's going anywhere so your tits will just have to get used to it!

MissBattleaxe · 18/12/2015 17:07

I hate hearing anyone described as "porky".

batshitlady · 18/12/2015 17:15

Just switch over?.. ah I get it now. Right, thanks....

suzannecaravaggio · 18/12/2015 17:22

really
how interesting

Abraid2 · 18/12/2015 17:26

Yes that Han can't have been hit

Star Wars, greater?

suzannecaravaggio · 18/12/2015 17:27

oh, I get it Battleaxe you think I'm being piggist

we must consider the feelings of our porcine friends and refrain from comparing them with over-adiposed humans!

MissBattleaxe · 18/12/2015 18:50

No Suzanne. I love pigs and I love humans. calling someone porky is fat shaming and unkind.

seaweedhead · 18/12/2015 18:52

I can't stand her. Smug, fake, and I don't think her recipes are all that (disclaimer: I've never actually tried one of her recipes).

suzannecaravaggio · 18/12/2015 19:04

Battleaxe
she's a celeb, she's put herself in a position where she is the subject of idle gossip and comment, who gives a stuff if someone makes comments about her body shape..she invites it

are you seriously trying to tell me off for 'fat shaming'?
what does that even mean

I didnt say she should be ashamed of herself
I just said she was quite a porker

suzannecaravaggio · 18/12/2015 19:07

her hair does need a really good conditioning treatment
hair shaming!
how could you!

UntamedShrew · 18/12/2015 22:23

Wow people are so mean! I like her - but I'd feel uncomfortable reading some of these comments even if I didn't like her.

MissBattleaxe · 18/12/2015 23:13

Famous or not I think calling her a porker is horrible. There's no need for such unkind name calling. You can do and say what you want. It's a free country but to me it sounds unpleasant. Can we not treat our fellow women a bit better than That? "porker" - just nasty.

suzannecaravaggio · 18/12/2015 23:49

porker is a term of endearment, everyone knows that

suzannecaravaggio · 18/12/2015 23:50

'hey porker lardarse'
that's how I address my other half, he thinks it's sweet

suzannecaravaggio · 19/12/2015 00:20

fellow women
what a ridiculous delusion
she's a wealthy celeb'
she doesnt consider us to be 'fellows'

MissBattleaxe · 19/12/2015 08:46

I'm going to ignore you now Suzanne. I expect you're used to that.

SoupDragon · 19/12/2015 08:49

porker is a term of endearment, everyone knows that

No it isn't.

hey porker lardarse'
that's how I address my other half, he thinks it's sweet

Why don't you go to the centre of Croydon on a Saturday night and shout that at people. See how sweet they find it.

IndridCold · 19/12/2015 12:39

I like her and regularly use her recipies, but I did have to give up watching this new series after the first programme. Waaaay too much simpering, and the mistakes at the end are cringingly embarrassing.

SearedChestnut · 19/12/2015 13:55

I don't like all the comments about her size - who cares?!

I'm "porky" at the moment for that matter.

Was just perusing her Christmas book this morning and it really is excellent. I had forgotten that many of the recipes I use every year are actually Nigella's.

shadowfax07 · 19/12/2015 20:19

Thank you, Soup, I now don't have to emotionally blackmail the OH into finding my copy Grin

shadowfax07 · 19/12/2015 20:23

I always think her meals look a bit meagre for the number of people she's feeding.

You've never made any of them then... ;-)
