New thread for more random chat about the jungle.

Make yourselves comfy and avoid the dunny.

But I eat meat... Lady C was being spiteful.

MyNameIsAlexDrake · 28/11/2015 23:55

In your opinion AnneEyhtMeyer - I didn't see it that way at all. Tony was Lady C's target. Once she realises that she won't break him, she'll move onto another. That's what bullies do. That's also why she's moved on from Brian, what grates with me though is that Brian didn't like it when he was the target but is happy to take a back seat now.

It isn't an either / or situation though. Just because you don't like one person doesn't mean everyone else is an angel.

Lady C is car-crashingly awful. Yes. Definitely. Totally bizarre and unacceptable behaviour.

This doesn't make Tony Mr Lovely.

At the moment Lady C's behaviour is allowing other bad behaviour to fly under the radar.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/11/2015 00:28

And yes, Alex, that is my opinion. This is a chat about opinions on a tv show. No one's opinion is a statement of fact.

OP posts:
Roussette · 29/11/2015 08:36

I just can't see it. I thought TH conducted himself really well given the vitriol he was subjected to. It was rude, nasty, personal, he was attacked in just about every way possible.

By defending him, that doesn't make him Mr. Popular, but his hands were tied, what could he say to stop the tirade... and just imagine if it was against young Ferne, George or Jorgie - there'd be an outcry, but the fact he's an older man, he's just supposed to take it. I presume everyone else was stunned into silence and when someone is so out of control as she was, sometimes it's better to just let them rant and show themselves up. I find her abhorrent and she always seems to be sniping about somebody.

I'm going off quite a few of them actually Grin. Brian is particularly irritating. Duncan and Chris appear to do not a lot. I do like George though, so smiley and positive.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/11/2015 10:11

We all have different opinions, and I think he didn't want her to stop the tirade. It was what he wanted, for her to make a fool out of herself.

I find Brian irritating too. And Duncan. And Yvette.

George is going up in my estimation now he has actually started to speak.

I think some of the older contestants would have been better in Celeb Big Brother than IAC.

'And yes, Alex, that is my opinion. This is a chat about opinions on a tv show. No one's opinion is a statement'

Not sure where I'm meant to go with the above. I gave my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. You've obviously taken offence though so I'll leave it there.

PhilPhilConnors · 29/11/2015 10:20

I admired Tony for pulling her up about chucking the beetle on the fire.
I can't work out if I like him or not though.

Roussette · 29/11/2015 10:30

I'm totally indifferent to TH, I honestly have no opinion on him at all. He seems pretty inoffensive to me but what do I know! I watch it 80% so maybe I've missed something.

I don't know how he could've stopped the tirade, anything he said would have made LadyC even worse I think. And you can't make someone make a fool of themselves, they do it all on their own! Grin

ENtertainmentAppreciated · 29/11/2015 11:11

Two observations.
The first is that in her ITV2 interview shown last night, Susannah described George as 'fragile' She wants him to win.

Secondly she spoke about Lady C's personality and behaviour as very Jekyll and Hyde and how she can transform from one to the other as though someone's flicked a switch, it can be that swift and that unpredictable.
Other people have said exactly the same thing either in conversation or in the Bush Telegraph directly to camera (that's my memory anyway)

I wonder if she's like that all the time, if it's personality based or maybe some kind of disorder? Maybe it's exacerbated by the situation, sleep conditions and food supply, or maybe it's just her.

It always interests me to work out who's exactly like they would be in their regular lives, who plays up and who has a strategy to not only get through it, but appeal to the public. I'd also like to know about game plans that go to pot because of the mix of other contestants and their impact on the group.

Leaving aside the fact that to a certain extent we're all being manipulated in our views by the edit of the show, I find some of all this really disturbing.

Since the start of the show, we have seen some appalling behaviour from Lady C. Absolutely jaw-droppingly shocking. The other camp-mates have responded by backing away and distancing themselves, as well as trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and being friendly and kind towards her when she has been nice or shown guts during trials and so forth. Some of those more viciously attacked by her have banded together, probably for defence. Yet THEY are the ones who are being criticised (in the media and, once or twice, on here) for bullying her??

I have no idea what Tony's motivation was for commenting on the beetle/fire issue. It's largely irrelevant. Even if he was trying to wind her up (and I personally doubt it), there are far worse crimes on there. But her abusive response was the one of the worst things I think I've ever seen. And I actually think that the ITV bosses should take her aside and give her a formal warning (and let it be known that that has happened, actually). That would send a very clear message to society as a whole (if the viewers are a representative bunch) that we do not tolerate or encourage that behaviour.

And whilst I think Tony did very well not to react to her tirade, I don't think I could have sat back and allowed the implied insult to my spouse to pass by unchallenged. I like to think I might have gone straight to the Bush Telegraph room and threatened to leave unless I got a retraction. No way Lady C would ever apologise, though.

Hideous, hideous woman. And as Keiron said, she has become indefensible.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 29/11/2015 12:22

I'm happy TH rose above her.

I eat meat but to mindlessly kill a creature for no purpose like that would be seen as cruel to me.

He didn't shout, just expressed his view. He was spot on with her not being used to being told.

I'm convinced she's bipolar but not nice too. I know plenty of lovely people with BPD. They surely have psychologists keeping tabs? She should be out as all the stress she's putting herself under, she'll end up ill.

ENtertainmentAppreciated · 29/11/2015 12:33

As you say though Clam, we are manipulated by the edit, or at the very least we never have the full story. We often don't see how these situations arise and develop.

We don't really know what Tony said or did in addition to what we saw. I'd think that he'd certainly have his say, but I'm not sure that he'd threaten to leave because I reckon he's confident he'll stay in longer than Lady C will.

Remember the big row the other night? I think it was SW who reported back that Rylan on This Morning said from watching Live Streaming, it went on for hours and eventually the production team stepped in.

clam · 29/11/2015 12:48

"She should be out as all the stress she's putting herself under, she'll end up ill."
No, I think she's letting out all her stress just fine!

And the others are all walking on eggshells around her - because, let's face it, she's making a good job of warning them all off challenging her. They're quite rightly terrified of having that vitriol unleashed on them.

Can you imagine what she must have been like as a mother? Her boys, despite defending her in public at the moment, must surely have spent half their childhood in therapy.

Woodhill · 29/11/2015 12:56

I really like George and he is clever and a nice young man. Lady C may have Bi Polar or low blood sugar or something but she does need to hold her tongue. There is no need for it. Tony is ok and her outburst are now embarrassing.

Her accent sounds Irish to me?? I know she lived in the Caribbean.

Woodhill · 29/11/2015 12:59

a technical question. Can you use all 5 votes on one night. I have only used 1 a night and no more seem to work on my phone

thanks

CakeNinja · 29/11/2015 13:02

woodhill when it's time to vote, use your first one and then click on the McCain picture underneath. You just stare at another picture for a second and it unlocks your other 4 votes.

Woodhill · 29/11/2015 13:05

yes thanks Ninja such fun :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/11/2015 16:11

I'm hoping tonight they may say /show lady c being warned

It was bullying and agree if was other way round and a man saying all that to a woman it would be very differen

Others go on celeb to extend their career - lady c has killed hers

clam · 29/11/2015 17:08

I'm not sure she wants a career. Isn't she just after the fat fee to mend her castle roof or whatever else is going on for her (newspaper gossip today)?

BeckerLleytonNever · 29/11/2015 17:38

as they didn't have a n evictee last night why didn't they just wait foir last night to evict Susanna? doesn't make sense to me.

I find Georgie bitchy and sneaky too, using her little girl next door persona but a panther underneath. nhope she goes tonight.
or Purple Grin. or TH. if onlyt o not show his awful pecs any more!

FreakinScaryCaaw · 29/11/2015 17:49

I thought Brian and Georgie whispering how they hate Chris was awful. His family must feel crap watching that.

musicnightelf · 29/11/2015 18:02

Just finished catching up with all the episodes and have to agree there's something missing this year! Too many arguments and not enough fun tasks like the past series Sad.
Have to say I think this is due to Lady C and her bullying behaviour. Although not a fan of Tony and Duncan doing their best to rile her up for a reaction. Think it's strange how last year Jimmy Bullard was voted off straight away after his jokes about Jake (which were in jest and both parties laughed at) while Lady C is getting away with this! Jimmy brought fun and laughter to the camp but I find it hard to see what she offers.
Also think Brian/Jorgie are very bitchy and definitely playing a game!
I was surprised at how much I like Fearne and Vicky as hated them from their other shows and George is very sweet too. Others in camp are a bit meh.
