It will be really interesting to see what happens to Saga, this time round.

So much going on! Such a brilliant start.

I'd thought the cleaner was a plumber though you may be right as there was no plumbing to be done in the bedroom.

I've liked these first two episodes. Still creepy. A few more jokes.

I love The Bridge! Is Saga's new male colleague married? If not, who's the woman he keeps going home to?

Although I miss Martin's cuddly presence, I think Saga can carry the series on her own.

knottyhair · 25/11/2015 10:39

I got the feeling that Saga's new partner's wife isn't really "there" - i.e. she died and he still sees her/talks to her. She wasn't eating when he was, you don't see her interacting with the children (he was cooking for the children before he went out to the museum), she just sort of seems to hang around! Or am I way off??

stopfaffing · 25/11/2015 11:08

Whoa, knottyhair, I think you might be on to something. She seems so...passive and distant.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 25/11/2015 11:30

I wish we could merge the two threads discussing this program! The theory that his wife AND kids are dead was brought up on there by another poster...thinking about it I don't think the kids are really alive either because who did he leave them with if they were?

knottyhair · 25/11/2015 13:24

Didn't realise there was another thread, need to go and look. Good point about the kids.

SUGGESTION
Since there are two threads on this great show, I've consulted our OP to suggest that we all reconvene together at the other thread here . Our combined brain-power should keep us up with the twists and turns of the plot!

quirkychick · 25/11/2015 17:57

I have just realised this is the other thread!

Is there anywhere online I can watch the first two episodes? I can't watch bbc online (not in UK).

I just can't believe Saga is allowed to be a front line police officer/ detective, zooming about in her Porsche, interviewing the victims of appalling crimes and the bereaved etc. She's so cold and lacking in basic tact and empathy that in RL she'd be carefully 'managed' and 'handled'. It spoils it a bit for me, as I don't really believe it....

Allofaflumble · 30/11/2015 13:39

Her behaviour does seem a bit far fetched batshitlady - most people with HFA would have acquired some masking of their social defecits by that age surely.

The only people so far to pull her up are the dark haired young cop who got beaten up last series and this Linn boss.

Saga seems to be unraveling in this series.

batshitlady · 30/11/2015 14:43

Yes you're right Allo and that's the other thing. She seemed a volcano of emotion to her Mum in their first scene together. She actually seemed 'normal' . We've not seen a single bit of that before or since. So it makes me wonder is it going to be revealed that her personality/demeanour is an act? I found her behaviour at the singles, dating event a bit too much.. "Do you wish to have sex. You, yes I'm talking to you. Sex yes or no?".
