Thanks Emochild I might try that next time DD demands a white icing (aka her Frozen themed birthday cake from last year) which if her love of Frozen continues I might be making again this year.

DH and I both want cake now. Maderia is now being planned by me though I used to love making Black Forest gateau with a whisked chocolate sponge yum.

All the fancy decorations would be my downfall.

See, Squoosh I'm over invested in the whole mixer thing. I agonised over KA vs Kenwood and went for Kenwood Chef. And I like to see them on the telly box as I feel it ratifies my decison. Raymond Blanc can usually be relied upon to have a Kenwood.

There's not one cake I don't want to eat apart from perhaps beetroot cake.

Marking place had to wait till dh woke up from doing a long night shift so just about to put it on we both like watching it :)
