Just finished punching myself in the face as I call everyone darling too.

I don't think it passive aggressive but I do reserve a special darling for people who are not deserving of my nice darlings. It leaves the recipient in no doubt that I think they are an arse.

I can't help but like her. I thought she was a joy in the travel series she presented about Italy.

My special darlings are not passive anything and I really don't think that Ms P would be one to mince her words either. My darlings come from an inability to remember names. My grandma also called everyone darling but I suspect she did that because she was just lovely and not a forgetful old bat like me.

I dislike the eye rolling when someone disagrees with her. Her hair annoys me. She inows what she is talking about however.!
