God, I would have that Lavinia's mother in college so fast she wouldn't have time to blink. Can't she see the best way of giving her child a good life is to have an educated mum?

As for 'Presh...' Jesus.

spidermanswoman · 02/06/2015 23:00

Don't those kids have any toys? Poor little sods having to endure make up, uncomfortable, impractical clothes and fucking hairspray.

I can't decide which mother was the most appalling. It was such a close contest but on balance I think Milan and valentinos mum who had her baby's ears pierced "to make her loom beautiful" just fuck off. Your baby doesn't care what she looks like and is probably sick of being dumped on an arm chair while you take endless photos of her sister to put up on instagram.

Aeroflotgirl · 02/06/2015 23:01

I know imperial, bet they are having a field day on the Feminism board on this. The mothers seem to think that looks that make you successful in life, erm no, an education does.

ImperialBlether · 02/06/2015 23:25

The one with the ponies (can't remember their names) seemed to have a rich backer in the form of a husband, but the mother of Lavinia obviously didn't. What a waste of money.

And those diamond dummies!!! Wtf?

Aeroflotgirl · 03/06/2015 00:12

The one with the ponies, had rich parents, who I think was funding Milan and the other lifestyles. The mum was keeping the ponies in her parents land.

thejellyfox · 03/06/2015 08:51

They are morons..I don't like to be mean but they really are. Lavinia's mother hasn't got a pot to pee in but is worried about bling! What is actually wrong with her?
Try handing the kids a book or a toy instead of worrying about clothes and make up. The hairspray on a one year old is just madness.

I truly wonder how they are going to handle these kids wanting to do there own thing. It will happen sooner or later and I just wonder how they will cope.

mrsdavidbowie · 03/06/2015 09:02

Thick as shit.
All their families too for thinking the children looked like princesses.
The meltdown at the party by the mother was disgraceful.....poor kids.

ImperialBlether · 03/06/2015 10:05

It's quite a new phenomena though, isn't it? I remember the Beckhams sitting on thrones when they married and of course Jordan was just like this, but before then, I can't remember anyone doing it, can you?

I wonder whether they think William and Kate would dress a daughter like that? (Only wondering that given the 'princess' look they're going for.)

funnyface31 · 03/06/2015 14:55

Why did that little girl(princess/precious) have a lighter? She was holding onto it whilst the Mum attention seeker

funnyface31 · 03/06/2015 14:56

Posted too soon
Was doing her makeup.
So very sad for these little girls

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/06/2015 15:31

Just watched episode two, words actually fail me...

dillite · 03/06/2015 19:19

Those mothers are absolutely despicable. That poor, poor baby having her ears pierced. Those poor children being gotced into those hideous clothes. Lavinia's mother should be buying her child fresh food instead of bling.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 03/06/2015 19:31

The saddest thing about it is that the parents don't seem to appreciate their children AS THEY ARE. It's the reason I also hate earrings and hair bands etc on babies - babies are wonderful and yummy totally unadorned. What message are these children actually getting? That they don't look pretty enough without all the bling, that their mother thinks they look plain without it all. It's emotional abuse if you ask me. You can imagine them all on the Stately Homes equivalent thread in the future: "But We Dressed You Up in Designer Clothes...."

NanaNina · 09/06/2015 00:48

Agree with all the posts but didn't know whether to laugh or cry at Milan and Valentino's mother saying "they're like little dollies but you have to remember they're real babies.........." Priceless.

As for poor Lavinia she should have been seen by a GP for 10 days of the d word (can't spell it) but mother was just worried she'd spoil the awful dress.

And I've been reading posts today about people criticising the clothes George and Charlotte were wearing for an official photograph!!

SunsetDreamer · 09/06/2015 21:32

Just watching tonight for the first time. It makes me Sad yet I can't tear my eyes away Hmm

NorahBone · 09/06/2015 21:56

Nana I think the baby had seen a doctor, she said something about being told the infection took a long time to shake off because their immune systems aren't developed.
I couldn't care less how people dress their babies (within reason, and I admit some of these mothers are a bit beyond reason) but it gets right on my tits when they pretend they're doing it for the child's benefit and it shows how much they love their children. Going without food so a baby can have designer accessories doesn't make you a good parent!
I did think the woman who kept crying seemed to be suffering from depression. When she wasn't crying she seemed quite flat.

coffeeisnectar · 09/06/2015 23:07

Just watched tonight's episode and it was so awful. I'm not sure where to begin...the woman that's determined her daughter will be a model or the one whose going to be a dancer and fulfil the dreams her mum didn't achieve...or the young mum who is by far the most sensible on tonight's show but still mixes up looks with achievements.

Diors mum made me want to throw stuff at the tv. Two hours to dress her and the baby ..in matching outfits...And that poor baby must be sick of being dressed up like a toilet roll cover and just want to roll about on the floor with some toys instead of shopping every day.

SunsetDreamer · 09/06/2015 23:34

Their clothes just seemed so uncomfortable!

TheLastPickleInTheJar · 10/06/2015 12:23

I think all the bling and designer labels look a bit cheap. It's so over the top.

Having said that, the closest my children get to designer labels is Next so what do i know really?

It makes me feel sad that children are being brought up being taught that it's what's on the outside that counts. Such a damaging message.

TeaAddict235 · 11/06/2015 10:08

I felt sorry for Dior in that shelf, she shouldn't be treated like an accessory, meanwhile other children have a fantastic time at a playgroup or childrens centre!

Just watching this now, must be a repeat. My mouth has been hanging open most of the time.

DragonWithAGirlTattoo · 11/06/2015 19:40

i've not seen this before, but eugh.... what does it matter what they wear?

what is that shit she put on her head? weirdbow thing

and how does Lily pay for all that stuff? single mum at 17? - Glammas extns look a bit ropey too

The people in it seem nice enough, but they dont come across as very bright.... I dont think you can doubt they love they have for the children, just a bit... misguided on values (in my view)
