I think he's playing her.

The first time he quantified it with saying Sam was her father because he raised her.

The second time he said his father was a KGB agent, or worked for them at least but wasn't he on the most wanted list in the first place for selling state secrets??

I keep thinking that he is really her dad or took her on after being responsible for the death of her family a bit like Liz did with the harbourmaster's daughter.

Just caught up with the episodes and its great but I am not sure I picked up all the plot intricacies with this last episode.

Wonder when Vanessa Cruz will be back to help Red out.

Love this show even though it is absurd but it really annoys me how much they under use Ressler-some if the best episodes were when he was front and centre such as 'Anslo Garrick' and 'Mako Tanida' and then they just seemed to drop him as a character..same with Aram..we need more character development and less 'Lizzie'-I think she is the weakest character on the show which us unfortunate for me as she's in every 2nd scene!

I don't like it - DH watches it when I try a little snooze on the sofa - gets me to go to bed - some of the voices are so loud compared to others.

I was just thinking the same thing about Resler. I half hope it was him that was with Lizzie in the final scene not Tom. I'm surprised that he hasn't had much of a story or been dragged in the intrigue further.

Also the other female agent who is not from the USA, she seems to be under used despite the fact she has been planted by Red.

The only thing I can think of is that they are deliberately leaving Ressler in the background so that there can be a huge revelation that will shock us all-Red and him have the same very rare blood type so I'm not ruling anything out!Hoping Samar will have more to do in future episodes too-shes an interesting strong character-background info please!:-)

I agree about Ressler. I thought they were bringing him on as a love interest for Liz and then the lovely-yet-deceptive Tom reappeared. Truly her cup runneth over. But since then Ressler's been kicked back to the B team, it's very disappointing. Mind you, look at the gorgeous Dembe, he doesn't get enough to do either. Couldn't Red and Lizzy be kidnapped (aka absent for an episode or two) and Ressler, Dembe and Tom have to team up to rescue them? Dammit, I have the season finale to watch and I'm going to be bloody disappointed if that isn't the set up for next season!
