That was good. Loved the way they interwove the songs and readings.

I thought Chris Evans was very good though.

I really don't like Chris Evans or Katherine Jenkins
But apart from that I enjoyed the show
Chris Evans just read the words a bit too fast and with no emotion , but at least he didn't talk about himself all the time

I don't ever think he (CE) has moved on from his TGIF days ... No gravitas

Was KJ miming? It looked like she was.
Feel sad that there are fewer and fewer veterans every time there's something about WW2. Soon they will all be gone Sad

Chris Evans needed to take his hand out his pocket, do up his bottom jacket button and be sincere, otherwise I felt the bbc got it right.

Yy about Chris Evans. Not sure what credentials he had for that role.

I knew Alexander Armstrong had been a lay clerk in a former life, so to speak, so I knew he could sing but I'd never heard him. I thought he was wonderful, and he sang one of my favourite ever songs so double whammy. I think he may have inspired a crush here!! Grin

I agree Chris Evans was not right for this. He was terribly wooden not showing any sort of emotion in his monotone awkward comparing!!

KJ always annoys me but did a little less tonight for some reason.

The rest however I thought was lovely and I watched with my nan who is 88 and she thoroughly enjoyed it, went to bed humming the old songs to herself Grin

I've heard Alexander Armstrong sing briefly on Pointless, and I also remember Richard Osman saying he had a good singing voice, but he took me by surprise last night - especially when he sang London Pride. I'm surprised he hasn't done more in that line.

Love, Love Alfie Boe, but what has he done to his hair?
