Who is Hayley?

PennySweets · 07/11/2006 22:35

I watched this last night, but couldn't be arsed (no pun intended) with it tonight. Hayley's the one who started off with mega attitude, but seemed to mellow a bit towards the end of last night's programme.

What programme are you talking about?

PennySweets · 07/11/2006 22:50

Too big To Walk. It's about a group of extremely obese people who set out on a 500 mile walk from ... I can't remember where they started from, but think they're attempting to end up somewhere in Scotland. It's one of those personal challenges/life changing experience things. I thought it was boring, and only watched last night's for the lush eye candy in the shape of the sports physiotherapist that accompanied them.

Oh didn't realise the programme name was in the thread title.
Is it the sort of thing where people cry and talk about the 'journey' they have been on? (as well as the actual walk!)
Barf.

Got it in one, 2nervesleft.

I'll continue to give it a wide bearth then.

So of the 8 who started, Alice gave up (too wimpy) and Jane had to stop (serious infection in legs)...who else has stopped and why?

Hayley eventually quit too - same old reasons as she had for going home to see her kids (couldn't hack it basically). And Vince (the biggest one) eventually got worn down by the biggest climb they had (forget the name of the hill - but it's a biggie). Felt quite sorry for him actually - it was definitely a real battle for him to decide to quit but it just took everything that he had left out of him.

The other 4 - including Stacey finished. Was quite impressed with her - they stopped at a hotel for a meal, she ordered fish and chips - but didn't finish it as she realised that she had to change her eating habits and that ordering fish and chips like she had at home wasn't going to help.
