Really worth a visit

DeeWe · 11/05/2015 11:28

If you're close enough to ask, was Anne told to behave like that? Because if she wasn't it seems a little ridiculous for her to take for workers rights when they're really meant to be showing how life was really like-and most Vicorian workers simply couldn't afford to object to jobs.
We did wonder whether Tyger was told to "be a bit of an Artful Dodger" too.

Recognised the Black Country museum from going last year.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 11/05/2015 12:10

Oh I'm pretty sure Anne is always like thatGrin

ProfYaffle · 11/05/2015 13:36

It looks like she'll be championing workers' rights next week, I'm guessing that's why Ruth commended her on standing up for what she believed in this week.

DramaQueenofHighCs · 11/05/2015 15:16

Well I don't know much about Anne and Tyger's being told to behave in certain ways or not, but from what I've been told the reactions etc of the celebrities were entirely organic and not 'manufactured' at all. However what actually went on was heavily edited (as you'd expect) for tv with a lot of 'good bits' cut out and swayed to make the viewing public believe certain things.

I do get the impression Anne is just 'that kind of person' though. Smile

DramaQueenofHighCs · 11/05/2015 15:19

I'm going to miss tomorrow night's 'live' show (for want of a better word) but I'll be catching up on Iplayer ASAP after.

DramaQueenofHighCs · 13/05/2015 12:39

Alistair "who's doing my balls?" Grin so love him.

DramaQueenofHighCs · 13/05/2015 13:17

I think they weren't told how to behave as in they could choose what to do but it was set up to try to make them do certain things.

Hulababy · 19/05/2015 22:04

Good finish.

Me and 13y did have really enjoyed it. Did reckons the NT should set the week up as a secondary school residential for history students. She's also hoping the BBC might do it again with other time periods.
Mind, I think she just likes Tyger being in it tbh ;)

OeufieTheEggaphant · 19/05/2015 22:31

It was a lovely finish. Bless Alistair, he looked exhausted and overwhelmed by all the emotions.

OeufieTheEggaphant · 19/05/2015 22:32

Ann can do one though, I wanted to punch her by the end Angry

DramaQueenofHighCs · 19/05/2015 23:27

Alistair is a total utter love, Ann is annoying yet entertaining and I can't help but like her!

So good today, though didn't envy them one single bit! I shed a tear myself seeing them with their families at the end!

Truly engaging TV - don't seem to know anyone in RL who watched so glad there's a thread here. DH and I loved Zoe and we're glad she 'won'. Always call her Tanya (from Footballer's Wives Grin) - she's so feisty but fair.
