Definitely no more for me! Ds26 Dd23 and twins 6. Twins were a MASSIVE late surprise. To say I was in shock is an understatement! However, a very pleasant shock in the end! After seeing the couple whose baby was still born I feel very lucky all mine are healthy.

ilovechristmas1 · 19/03/2015 23:01

wow big gap.must have taken some getting used to

still love a newborn, but 3 is enough for me

impressed with itv showing what can and does happen rather than only all the positives and the sands info at the end was v thoughtfully done
v well done itv

what lovely couples and lovely babies
and what a brave couple to agree to showing this to help reduce the taboo around stillbirth Flowers

progress being made

slippermaiden · 19/03/2015 23:22

Yeah it was a good programme, well made. My twins were a natural surprise! They are my only children. I'm going to give them a kiss goodnight now...

CunningCat · 19/03/2015 23:28

White yes the subject has been a taboo. Most programmes only show happy endings and not the reality of still birth, babies not surviving prem births. I know of 3 people in RL that have had still births. Well done for to the couple who still allowed this to go ahead despite their pain. Progress indeed.

Whiteandbrownrabbit · 19/03/2015 23:36

cunningcat
I agree with you, plus I thought the drs handled everything very sensitively too
feels good to see this progress
things will be better for future generations

Yes ilove a hugh adjustment! On the plus side the twins have a big brother and sister who adore them! When the twins were in nicu they had finished exams and were there every day helping to care for them, still makes me tearful now!

CunningCat · 19/03/2015 23:49

White you are right, when I had my twins the consultant pointed out to me early on that one may only survive with such things as twin to twin and other complications and how risky multiple pregnancies are. I also know a lot of people who have had miscarriages at various stages of pregnancies, another taboo that affects lots of women.

1944 how wonderful. What a beautiful experience to share. Thank you, I am smiling at that lovely thought of triplet sisters in their 80's living together, beautifulSmile

How heartwarming, and before incubators! You must come from good stock!
I used to do home care for the elderly and I met a lady in her late 70's and she was prem and survived too. Her mum had 6 previous prem births, all died apart from her.

LikeABadSethRogenMovie · 20/03/2015 00:58

I've just watched it on itv player and and have a question. Was the guy with longer hair completely yellow at the end or are my colour settings out of whack?

CunningCat · 20/03/2015 02:15

Not sure, I wondered that too. Liver problem?

cookielove · 20/03/2015 09:38

I am really good friends with the couple who lost the baby :(

I can report that the boys are doing really well :)

RandomMess · 20/03/2015 12:12

Good to read the boys are doing well Smile

I'm glad your friends were prepared to share their loss on TV - I hate that the media creates this false bubble that pregnancy = healthy baby.

CunningCat · 20/03/2015 12:38

Cookie that is lovely news, they are immensely brave. Thank you for sharing thatFlowers

DieSchottin93 · 20/03/2015 15:44

Watched this with my mum last night, she joked that she felt lucky she only had twins Grin also her face when one of the triplets shot out a massive poo stream when getting her nappy changed Grin It was seriously emotional though, my heart ached for the lovely couple who lost one of their boys Sad I can't imagine what it must feel like knowing you have to carry three but one will be stillborn....

I was really emotional watching her find out her lo had died even though I knew it was coming! :(

Username12345 · 21/03/2015 16:36

They didn't tell us the babies names, did they?

cookielove · 21/03/2015 18:49

user we found out the names for two if the couples but the Turkish couple didn't reveal them!

ThroughThickandThin · 21/03/2015 18:52

I think one set of triplets were Lillian, Camille and Alexander.

The two surviving triplets are Henry and James, and the one which sadly died Jayden (I think, from trying to remember)

cookielove · 21/03/2015 19:07

No the one that died was Cayden!

CunningCat · 26/03/2015 21:10

Anyone else this?
